hit R3 after you swing and it will tell you what you are doing wrong. It told me I was swinging early like 90% of the time.....so I needed to be more patient. It is a practice thing....you need to train your eye. Now I am working the counts and it is helping 100%. I rarely chase pitches now....but it does happen when i break concentration.

Offline I can hit the ball well.

Online, I'm late on everything, and I'm batting .193 in 25 games.

I also only have 6 Home Runs, and I'm only averaging a little over 1 run a game.

The most I have scored in a game was 4, and most of my games involve me scoring 1 run.

Thank god my era is 2 something.

In reality he's trying to tell you not to guess the pitch because if you actually make contact with the ball it's like a 60% chance of it being a home run. Flawed? I agree.

jms hit the nail on the head. I started learning to work the count. Take some pitches. etc and it helps you learn the strike zone. Patience is the key. Each game I have gotten better at hitting with the more pitches I have taken.

Left stick towards the incoming pitch + square button. It takes practice but you can pick up on it rather quickly if you stick to it. Also, like its already been said, being patient at the plate can go a long ways because you can force your opponent to throw one right down the middle that you can crush.

I also agree with houtz on guess pitch, don't use it at all. Its just a crutch and won't make you any better. I amaze my friends head to head when they have guess pitch on and I don't even use it, and still win.

I turned off all the indicators, strike zones - etc. less distractions = more hits.

Now I just have to find the discipline when I'm behind in the count, before I just made some Whitesox pitchers look invincible in my Royals chise.

I am terrible at hitting as well with the Giants..though their offense sucks in real life as well.

I just try to work the count and pick up hits later in the game when the pitcher starts to get tired.
