The stuff they do with nba live and the nhl series makes me even more pissed at EA about madden. EA is supposed to be the be all end all of sports games, yet the the live and 2k series constantly beat their ass, this is why i always yell about the BS that is the exclusive liscesne. If i was 2k or live i would be making a football game secretly and just lying in wait for teh liscense to be open to others again. there is no way the NFL will allow EA to continue being exclusive if they just keep fucking things up.

      I don't buy that.

If you followed any of the lawsuit vs the exclusive license between the organizations, you would have come across documents that showed the NFL taking a much lesser deal than what 2K was offering.

So why would the NFL cut ties with EA, when they were willing to take a lesser deal in the first place?

Hell, they extended the deal after those horrible first next gen football titles!

Also we're not just "Madden" Mania. I know it was just the name of the site and that wasn't what it was all about, but we're sports games in general, so we're obviously less inclined to bend over backwards to accommodate EA, although I think they should definitely have some people here, hell every game company should because they are going to get some pretty good responses.

It's likely, but interaction is the key.

Madden is headed in the right direction and I'd personally like to thank Ian. Unfortunately I'm done wandering over to that shit hole OS.
I can say a whole bunch of shit I don't like about The Show. However, it's still damn near perfect, and it's the best Sports Game to date.

They still ask for input and how they can make the game better.

And one of their huge points of emphasis is getting uniforms and player gear as accurate as they can. I've never seen that attitude from EA, and recently the uniforms and gear have been worse than ever.

Honestly, who cares? Let OS have the developers there. Once the info comes out it comes over here anyway.

Meh to interaction, its pointless really. Show me something or go home. Football gaming should not be this bad at this stage of the game.

Every sports franchise should have an MLB: The Show, failure to do so is just that...a failure.

you know you would think if the EA guys were so tired of hearing about how they suck and badass 2k5 was why dont they just make a game that doesnt suck and quit trying to hide the features each year? The botto0m line for EA is not to make a great game, but instead to make a good game that will get you to buy the next game cuz it will be better. there goal (i am not saying ian and the dev's we see) is too make money, and guess what? their practically printing the stuff so why would they change now. i bet the thing adem was talking about is that online chises will be a pay option, like league daddy.

And the problem in this thinking is the idea that the NFL wants a realistic product.

What the NFL wants is a product that reflects the NFL they wish existed, in which nobody celebrates, nobody talks trash, nobody is an individual, everyone has their socks at the right length, and every team scores 50 points a game.

Ian will probably want to put out a good game before coming here. Too many of my kind around these parts to post after putting out a half assed game.

There's a line between being critical and being an asshole. "You're lazy" and "You don't care" is not criticism. It's that kind of shit that made Ian leave MM... and I don't blame him.

He'll sit there 30 pages of, "The tackles aren't getting back far enough, the DEs aren't coming off fast enough, the pocket is too wide, the corners are turning too quickly"

It's "WTF, THIS IS BULLSHIT, EA SUCKS,THEY DON'T CARE, GIVE UP THE LICENSE, 2K52K52K52K52K52K52K5 GO HOME AND DIE" that gets old real quick.

There are two schools of thought on the 5th floor of Tiburon and there's definitely a sect that believes talking to us is a waste ot time because we're gonna hate no matter what they do. Those people are laughing their asses off at Ian at this moment.

And no, Ian wouldn't be welcome here... not by a lot of the people in the locker room who'd come wandering over to the Madden forum if he showed up just to see if they could get a rise out of him. This community is not the right one to interact with the devs... there are plenty of people on OS representing our views, and there are people here that would do far more damage than good.
I see posts like this all the time at OS yet all the community here seems to think OS is EA fanboys, i really dont get it. They are biggest pro 2k forum on the net.
