yeah i miss not being able to create a playbook of my own with my special plays. Then i could organize my red zone plays from my 3rd down plays and so on and so forth
If You Could Add One Thing to Madden 2010

they need to have a spotlight feature for the offense. If a defensive player is causing havok for your oline then you can spotlight him and your guys will double team him.
The catch animations just suck. I had a pass over the middle that the wide out did the sideline toe tap on. and whats with the jump up and back move on crossing routes?

I'd love to see better WR/DB interactions. For WR's more realistic fluid turning and jumping motions, for DB's more fighting for the ball, for both more bumping/handfighting/jostling for position in general.Comment

The biggest thing to me is I think they need to make the field bigger. In the NFL if a guy has a couple yards behind the DB he's wide open. In Madden that's a swat or a pick almost every time. And enough of me trying to throw a crossing route to a wide open WR and a LB 10 yards underneath picking it off. Make the field bigger, improve the spacing and that would fix a lot of things.

Also make the bodies more realistic, if a defensive end plays in the 3-4 make him the size of a DT, they are not skinny like 4-3 ends, I mean look at Haloti Ngata, the guy is huge in real life at 350 pounds but he looks like a twig in the game.
ALso on the 3-4 defense make the NT take up blocks like in real life, otherwise the 3-4 is almost impossible to use

Being able to throw the ball as the Quarterback is getting hit
Better offensive line assignments. Better blocking animations, etc...
Defensive Matchups. In the last gen maddens you could assign a Defensive back to a receiver and he would cover that receiver regardless of where he was on the field.
Better catch animations. Jump balls in the back of the endzone, receivers fighting for the ball, etc...Comment
