    Gripes?

We all know this game is damn near perfect. However list some things you would change about this game, or some things you just straight up don't like about it.

    1) I think the Throwing System is flawed. Sometimes you put no Power on a throw, and it flies over their head. It just seems like it's totally random. You might as well put full power on every throw, because there still is a chance at it going over his head even when you just tap the button.

    2) The whole home plate game. I'm sick of my guys sliding into home when the catcher is sitting there waiting for him. Why isn't there just a button to just plow the fucking catcher over? It would make things a lot better. Also, maybe add some slides where the runner misses the plate, and has to get back up and tag it or something. And maybe even add the catcher dropping the ball at the plate which happens a whole shitload in real life.

    3) Pitcher fatigue. I wish it was more realistic. Maybe as a pitcher gets deeper into a game, I think he should lose some speed on his pitches, or his control should get a little worse. In this game there is no difference from a pitcher that is 3 pitches into the game, then when he's at 70.

    4) I think the outfielders are a little too fast. (Maybe that's just me)

    5) Something just needs to be done about the whole game online. It's Cheese galore, and they need to find a way to cut down on it a little.

You have a point with the throwing system. Although in the grand scheme of things it's based on the fielders arm accuracy. If you played through an entire 162 game season, you will more or less rack up the same number of errors as their real life counterparts. Or so I would think.

There should definitely be an option to compltely plow into a catcher. I was actually quite surprised this game didn't have it (at least I haven't seen it yet) considering I've seen it in other baseball games. Obviouslty, the catcher has a chance to drop it but could also manage to hang onto the ball. Depending on strength, etc.

There is a very noticeable difference in fatigued pitchers to me. I've seen pitchers (my own and opposing) lose velocity but more noticeably, control, as the game wears on.

Outfielders may be fast but there is a slider to slow them down if need be. In fact, I know chaz does it because he thinks it makes the game more realistic by allowing more balls to get into the alley for doubles, etc.

As far as online play goes, I've had a couple decent games with randoms but I'd like to think I've gotten lucky. Playing online in the golden sombrero has kept me sheltered from all the cheese I can imagine that goes on. Must be kids playing with the Sox and Yanks all day.

My only gripe is the lack of the upload screenshot/vid feature that 2k has with their games. Yeah, you can take screens and vids and transfer them through usb and all, but that's time consuming and much more of a pain in the ass than just being able to upload it to a website and getting it from there.

Otherwise, no real complaints. The franchise mode could be a little bit more user friendly but if you take the time to figure out where everything is, shouldn't be a problem. It's just pretty overwhelming at first considering just how much control you have over your franchise.

In all the games I've played, not putting full power on your throws yields more accurate throws even though errors still happen. I haven't had a bad throw in a while now

? All of these are in the game, and in the manual. I believe you have to have the cpu sliding assistance turned off though. I have plowed into the catcher once, but he didn't drop the ball. I slide to the left and right of bases all the time with slide assistance on. You can also slide to break up double plays.

I agree with this one. It seems the only thing that happens is that the batter is able to hit easier as they fatigue (my opinion)

            4) I think the outfielders are a little too fast. (Maybe that's just me)

            Agree somewhat

            5) Something just needs to be done about the whole game online. It's Cheese galore, and they need to find a way to cut down on it a little.

Like what?(i don't play many lobby games, so I am not sure)
My only complaints are the randomly bad online matches, even though you played the same person a day earlier with a flawless connection.

Also there is sometimes a funky swing animation online, and your batter looks like a retard.

Presentation could use some changes, it seems to be identical to last year

you aren't supposed to tap the button, just as you aren't supposed to hold it down. tapping it results in bad throws. once you get the correct timing down you should make almost no throwing errors.

i've seen the catcher get plowed over once, it was an animation. so it's in the game, its just not manual. it would be sort of lame if you plowed the catcher every time there was a play at the plate, so i think its alright they did it this way.

fatigue is there..... and yeah, outfielders are way too fast.

online i really don't have any problems, a good amount of people speedpitch in lobby games but its still not horrible.

that said there's a lot wrong w/ the game. gap between all star and HOF is way too big. hit variety isn't that great at all. so many balls that should be doubles are held to singles. that god damn high fastball is impossible to hit which is just retarded.... and i'm sure a lot more that i can't think of right now

the more that i think about it the biggest thing wrong with this game is the high fastball shit. sure, they should make it really difficult to catch up to... but if i'm waiting on a fastball at the shoulders i should be able to crank one regularly. that shit really alters gameplay and is very unrealistic

I agree about the high fastball completely. I don't get too worried throwing high fastballs even though I should

I can sit on high fastballs pretty good.

The sliders that dip 12 inches right at the end kill me.

Fucking base running in RTTS. I think I broke my DS3 yesterday after getting thrown out at 3rd base, cuz of the stupid ass uncontrolable controls.

After playing this game since release day, this is the first time I've seen a runner plow over the catcher. It just happened in my league game against surtain. I held down on the stick, not sure if that made any difference or not or if its just random.
