In case some don't venture over to DSS, here is the vid posted over there from week 3 carts:
This is the race vid thru about 7 laps......looks as if that was where most of the action was. After 7 I was in 5th place the rest of the 13 laps and pretty much by myself, so I just ended the vid at that point. Wish I would have remembered to "save replay" before exiting so I could have picked up on the race at the front with 1, 2, and 3. Too bad we can't gift replays.

Hopefully, I can get some good vids from the pre-race shananigans to post later.

Two questions?
1) How do I change the in-game clock? I get a prompt every time I boot up the game telling me it's wrong, which it is one hour ahead, but I can't find where to change it. My PS3 clock is fine.
2) Whaty is the deal with "Car Delivery"? Don't these cars just get added to me garage? When I click on them I just get a prompt asking if I want to use them?
And one thing I forgot to mention. I NEVER use manual shifting in racing games. Am I screwed? Will I be forced to at some point or will I be able to play the entire game with AT? I know I'd be screwed online but I'm not too worried about that because I will probably never have the time to invest in that anyway.Comment

1) That may be in the settings menu when you first get into the game. I can't think of anywhere else.
2) Yep click use, and then the car goes into your garage. I think they did that because in the last game there was a little work around, where in a championship series, you could quit out of the last race in the series again and again, until all the cars possible for that series where awarded to you.
3) Racing the computer you will fine doing auto. Some of the online special events are a pain in auto and the offline special events, especially NASCAR a lot easier in manual. Speakin off Manual, you won't need ABS for most of the NASCAR tests, so turn it off, the cars actually faster w/o ABS

We can't do it in game, but I have the replay. It gives me the option to export it to the XMB and then I can upload it here if you have a thumb drive. I don't know if you can attach files to PSN messages? I'll check.

In the main PS3 settings through the XMB, all you have to do is turn off the auto day light savings option...didn't make sense to me, but it worked.

Sometimes you get a prize car, but you don't want to use it. It'll happen quite often as you go on.

You aren't screwed, but Blade pretty much said it. You lose milliseconds when the game shifts for you, and they add up over time. This can be a problem, but I don't ever remember beating a challenge by less than a few seconds so you theoretically could still pass everything. I think the driving aids hinder you more. Learn to drive without them. ABS at 1 is pretty much standard, except for NASCAR, leave it at zero on ovals. Setting ABS at 0 on a road course makes the brakes way too sensitive, even the GTPlanet aliens leave it at 1.Comment

So I completed the first four or five Beginner races but the last five or so won't allow me in unless I have a certain type of car. Should I really be using all my credits to buy cars to compete in these or is there some other way? I would've thought that I would've unlocked the appropriate ones along the way but I guess not. I decided to do the two Beginner kart races instead.Comment

Twigg.....check out the list here.....sometimes you can navigate through the races and various events to get the car you need. Sometimes you just need to buy the car
Since no one else is doing it as far as I know, I'm going to start a list of prize cars and the events you need to complete to win them :) I'll start with the few I know off the top of my head and will edit the OP with any others you guys give me. Okay... *the (P) or (S) denotes Premium or...
Also when you are looking at the event, there is a garage icon in the requirements screen, where the game automatically looks at your garage and finds the cars that fit the requirements. Much easier way to do it.
