I just watched my brother play the demo, this game looks amazing.

I didn't play the whole demo but I just wasn't feeling it. The walking controls are way too clunky. I don't mind holding R2 to walk but it's the complete lack of directional variation that kills me. The character can only seem to walk left, right, forward and back and nothing in between. It's like steering a tank.
I also wasn't impressed by all the contextual button presses. The idea is cool but I found that I was missing out on everything that was happening because I was too busy trying to figure out the next button press.Last edited by Twigg4075; 02-13-2010, 11:55 PM.Comment

Just got done with the Demo, pretty fuckin sweet. Loving the graphics, the choices you get and limitations. When I was interrogating that chick, I was fumbling around and ran out of time, so I never got to ask her about the ID of her father, but that fight was awesome afterwards, glad I didn't press the button for leaving.
Looking forward to this game!

Demo was decent and did enough to catch my interest, but I dunno. I don't know if dropping 65 bucks on a supercharged FMV game is really worth it, considering I only play a handful of games as it is.

I agree. The demo certainly has me interested, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to pay $60 for a game that probably has limited replay value. For the time being, it's a rental for me.Comment

I was listening to the latest Joystiq podcast yesterday and the one guy was saying that while he loved the game the walking controls were "somehow worse that RE1 controls, very tank like." Where have I heard that before? LOL. He was basically saying that he is very impressed by the game but for a game like this that is all about immersing you in the experience he routinely was taken out of that experience by the horrible walking controls because he was always walking into walls, tables, etc.Comment
