the game does start off pretty slow but then shit gets real

 

at the mall

and the game gets super intense and awesome. i just have a feeling im gonna fuck everything up and get the shittiest ending possible lol.

lol this was like a gaming diary for me today

Everyone died for me:
Like I said earlier Jayden got killed by Mad Jack
Madison died after Shelby set his house on fire and I fucked up a button press mini game to get fire off her
Ethan saved Shaun and then killed Scott
then that tool Blake ordered everyone to open fire so Ethan ended up dieing as well

I have to say Shelby was one of the most complex characters in a video game ever

Also, the twist fucking shocked me so make sure you guys don't read spoilers

I just finished the game. Took me about 10 hours of total gameplay. My ending was:
I pressed the jump button with Madison out of Scott's burning apartment and she died
Ethan kills himself
I guess I didn't save Shaun because I didn't kill the one drug dealer
Jayden O.D.'s on tripto and dies.
And Scott is just wandering the streets.

I really liked the Scott character so I was mad he was the murderer but whatever. I'm def gunna play it again and take different options obviously to see what other outcomes there are. Great game tho, blew me the fuck away!

it just showed a building, and then I got a news report at the end that Shaun's body was found. Didn't mean to kill Madison but it was either jump or go back into the fire lol.

Here's my ending:

 

Jayden OD'd on the drug. I was wondering if I should have given up once his nose started bleeding, but I kept investigating the case. Madison escaped the apartment by hiding in the refrigerator. lulz. She called Ethan to give him the location of Shaun (Ethan went to the wrong address) and he got there just in time to save Shaun. Shelby shows up right after Madison got to the warehouse, and shoots Ethan. He chases Madison and apparently has her dead to rights until Ethan comes out of no where and blasts him.

Ethan, Madison and Shaun lived happily ever after.

Game was pretty awesome, albeit a little buggy. For a game so heavy on dialogue and story, I thought the lip syncing was pretty bad. There were a few graphical hiccups too (some poor textures in parts and a lot of screen tear) that kind of took away from the immersion of the game.

With that said, the game itself was amazing. It's definitely one of a kind. Game is really slow in the beginning but the end of the game was jammed full of suspense and action.

So is the voice acting as hit or miss as I've heard? Not knocking the game, just have heard from friends that some people sound great and others...not so much. Particularly, they sound foreign when the game is, if I'm not mistaken, supposed to take place in Philly?

Still, at first I had ZERO interest in this and now I'm kind of itching to try it. Don't know whether to rent (to play once since it isn't that long and I don't know if I want to sit through the same dialog/motions more than once) or buy (to play multiple times and see all endings).
