Dang...I was trapped in the car about to get crushed, climbing out, I was almost out and I had to tap triangle, in my haste my finger slipped and hit another button, bam, dead. I feel better hearing that 3 of your characters died...hopefully I can end it with 2-3 guys left. This game is getting intense

And damn, if you've gotten all the endings, then for a person that hates the game this much you've put some time into it - unless you're using a guide or just skipping to chapters with key decision points.
You can start at different chapters in the game after you finish it. It's not that hard.

And stop saying I hated the game. You're putting words into my mouth. I said that the twist, as written, makes no sense, and the way it was handled equally makes no sense. I'm glad that you liked it, but it leaves things unanswered (Ethan) and doesn't add up (did you even read my post regarding the plot twists?).

I read your post about the plot twists and I just don't agree. I thought it was pretty good. I don't agree that it didn't make sense either. On my second playthrough I'm catching things that hint at who the killer is and it's awesome - I really think if someone was paying close enough attention on their first playthrough they could figure it out on their own.

Listen to Shelby's thoughts in the Typewriter store (right before he kills the owner inexplicably) or when he's outside the woman who committed suicide's place. They all are framed as if he's actually investigating the murder. Then at the end they're all like "he was just trying to root out evidence to destroy it!" which makes no sense. Unless, they're asking us to invalidate the thought system, but they aren't, they claim early in the game that it's an integral part. Also, as I stated before, what about the fact that they say in the endgame news report that Shelby was 48. The game takes place in 2011, Shelby's TWIN brother, age 10, died in 1977. Yet, Shelby would have been, at his youngest, 14.

And if you don't find Ethan's blackouts/appearances with an origami in his hand to either be 1) unfairly misleading; 2) never explained; or 3) making no sense, then I'd like your explanation for it. I'd also like to what small things early on point you to the fact that Shelby is the killer. If anything the game goes out of it's way to point at Ethan, never explains why, and just shoe horns Shelby in there with borderline Deus Ex Machina.

Let's also not forget that in the game it was stated that the Origami Killer was committing these crimes for 3 years. Ethan's thing happened TWO years before the game's narrative picked up, PLUS he was in the hospital with a coma. Yet the police never consider this fact.

Like I've said, it's not a bad game at all. It's a lot of fun, and has some of the most intense and awesome sequences I've played in a game. I just don't see how you can say the story isn't, at best, missing crucial information or better editing or at worst, just poorly thought out and written. I'd be curious your explanations (not flaming, genuinely curious) to not only the previous plot holes/errors I mentioned, but also what I've put in this post.

just finished it up tonight. great game, really loved the ending and how everything built up towards the climax. i guess i got one of the better endings ...

saved shaun with madison. norman jayden was the only one who died. fucking lame six-axis prompts when i was fighting mad jack screwed me. i was laying on my bed not in line with my ps3 and they didnt register so i missed a few in a row and bam, dead norman .

didnt really expect scott as the killer, though i knew it couldnt of been ethan cause that would of been too obvious. i agree with sethmode about the plot holes. i thought the game made sense and wrapped up nicely, but ethans unexplained blackouts, which i thought would have a lot to do with the ending, were of no consequence at all apparently. and at the end i drank the poison as ethan, and i guess he passed out or whatever in his car. after escaping from scott's with madison before it blew up i neglected to call ethan on the phone so it was just madison and scott for the "final showdown". after saving shaun and the game ends it shows shaun and ethan looking at apartments, and i was left wondering wtf happened cause ethan was supposed to die from the poison. i guess i missed something by not calling ethan and not having him involved in the finale.

i look forward to playing the game again sometime down the line and seeing how it varies, cause it seems like the game, especially the ending, can go a lot of different ways.

now i can finally click on the spoiler tags and see what other people thought of it lol

I can't believe I'm playing this a second time. I've never even had the desire to attempt a second play through before. I'm hoping to get a better ending this time so I'm making some different choices.

                      WTF?

Tryed to let Shelby die in the underwater car scene cause I read the spoilers on here. Some fucking how this guy survives and ends up crawling on the beach out of the water. What the fuck?

                        My Ending

Madison survives the fire by hiding in the fridge. Shaun dies right after the Madison scene because I picked the wrong place. Ethan shoots himself in front of Shauns Grave. No clue what happens to Norman. They show a scene where Blake puts on Norman's Glasses and goes to some jungle or whatever and they meet up then the Scene ends and the credits roll.

It's because he HAS to live. Ethan and Shelby absolutely can not die until the final scene. Meanwhile, Madison and Norman can bite it like, 25 times in the game.

I guess so. I got to play him throughout the entire game tho. I don't know where he coulda died after I set Ethan free in Jail?

The encounter with the roid raged junkyard guy could have happened after that, depending on when your Ethan got arrested (after cutting off his finger or at the hotel).

Either way, I dunno. If you survived the junkyard scene there is really no reason why he should have died. Maybe he showed up at the actual crime scene where Shaun was and got killed by Shelby? Yet another plot discrepancy if you ask me. How the F did the cops know to go to that place?
