this comes ot tomorrow. Anyone looking to buy it? i loved top spin 2, i didnt care for TS3....played VT 3, but never put much time into it.

i cant believe its been 2 years since they released a new version. I am hoping this is good so i can play something new

from what i been reading in the previews it looks like they added some top spin type mini games that are supposed to be alot of fun. They also took out the diving momentum that they say was an issue from the last game.

PLayed for about 30 mins yesterday and didnt really love it. It was meh.

Its really arcadey....no aces, no shits go out. Rarely ever ever will you hit the net. Most points are won by being up at the net.

Glad I rented it as I will returning it after this weekend.

The game was good except the online shit. As you said, basically everyone put 100 into the 5 major things, and left stamina, volley and return server as the lowest. You could never beat those guys. I played TS3 for maybe 2 months until the rage of always being matched against these types of players pissed me off to much.

Virtua Tennis 2009 was a disappointment for me. Maybe it’s because I’m a rabid tennis fan and player and I wanted more from the series this year, or maybe it’s because I feel like I’ve played this game before on the Dreamcast. Sumo Digital needs to turn their focus to changing the gameplay dynamics and World Tour mode, along with solidifying the connectivity issues online if they want to keep pace with the other tennis titles of the world.

i guess if youve played this before its not worth much. I havnt spent any time with this series so it may be worth the rental.....but probably not
