Huge game killer - NCAA 10 Roster Issue

LMAO the more I think about the pickle EA PUT THEMSELVES IN the more I laugh uncontrollably.

If they don't figure something out and fast they have 2 BAD options:

(1) Piss off the undoubtedly numerous Team Builder guys that don't really care all that much about the rosters and worked hard on their schools. or

(2) Piss off everyone else by sending a game with horrible rosters;

Perhaps I'm evil but I hope EA has to chose between #1 and #2.


Adem a question perhaps you can respond to. Do you know what process (if any) EA has for testing/checking for these type of issues/mistakes?

In medicine before a surgery they often but a big "X" on the leg, arm, etc.. of where they need to operate. They also do utensil counts at the end of surgery to ensure all the tools are accounted for and not still inside the patient before sewing him/her back up.

Does EA have anything like that in place? If they do, whoever is doing it is doing a bad job. If they don't they really should hire someone to be in charge of this or have "time outs" every so often for the entire team to get together and check the entire game inside and out to make sure nothing is messed up before adding in something else.

I have no idea, man. Not something I ever thought to ask.

I just looked at Fresno States roster and they have 2 QB's who aren't even on our real roster. Made Ryan Mathews white, and the other two RB's aren't real RB's on our roster. That's where I stopped and realized I'm not buying NCAA this year.

I'll tell you what the fuck up on a higher food chain is: Sam Keller's lawsuit!! That is the cause for this.EA did this crap on purpose IMO....just think about it

I don't need too. I know. If it was about Keller, we'd have generic rosters across the board. As it stands, Notre Dame's roster looks just fine, as one example. It is very clear if you look at enough teams that this wasn't a purposefully screwed up roster, it's a roster that was taken from 09 and never finished.

Teams in bad shape include teams with no freshmen, with graduated seniors from last year, and players in between who were unknown last years but became stars and haven't been progressed. I'd say that's a pretty clear indication as to what caused this. It was a roster file that was in the process of being updated, as some teams are done, some are not.

OK, so you have wait a few more days to get rosters, but if the rosters are done by the right guys, the rosters could be better than the rosters EA puts out stock.

Until the rosters are no longer customizable and the starting roster is "locked", the NCAA series isn't dead.

However, if it is...if Madden pulls through with improved gameplay and with NHL coming out in September...fawk an NCAA, I'll play something else.

Keller is getting a lot of the blame as he should, but the case was dropped. If it had something to do with Keller, as said before, then why would teams like Notre Dame have the correct roster? This is EA's fault not Sam Kellers

I haven't read through this whole thread, but my biggest issue with this isn't the fact that it will affect NCAA. The best part of NCAA is getting your recruited players, aka fictional. After three seasons half your team is fake anyway.

My biggest concern is the importing of them to Madden. I like real players to come in through draft classes, and now I wonder how hard it will be to do this.

Not all of us play franchise. I like to play online and that's not really fun with fake rosters. It doesn't matter to EA they have no competition they are the only college football game.
