Nice, hopefully they build on that.
I'm really hoping their puck detection system is much better this season. I couldn't stand it how my DMen would just sit there and not get a hold of the puck when I'd pass it out with my goalie after a shot. It's just stupid.
The better players should obviously have better puck awareness and detection, but that doesn't mean every role player should become completely retarded when the puck is near is stick. -
It will be nice for puck awareness to mean something this year, because now, a guy has 50 or 99, it really means nothing.
My issue with board play is, the way it looks, it seems as if you go close to the boards, hit a button and your guy grabs it. It's like Donkey Kong grabbing a barrel. Hopefully it is fluent. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

Yeah that part was sweet. I hope the crowd atomosphere is really good this year. Basically, as sad as it may sound, I want goals in the game to be just as exciting as seeing goals scored on live TV. Would like to hear a loud horn for home teams, and fans jumping up.
By the looks of that video as well, it looks like interceptions won't be tape to tape either, as the puck came off the penguin dman's stick right to the Red Wing player. And they are adding 150 more goalie animations. That is 450 animations in two years. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

Been a big part missing from the games.
Now, I want to see if they can fix up goalies continuing game play. I always feel the goalies continuously cover up the puck because there is never a clear out by the opposing team's offense. Meanwhile, passing out by the goalie tends to leave you hanging out to dry if you want to continue a high paced game.Comment

So does the camera pan out into that view automatically whenever there is a scrum along the boards?
Or do we hit a button to access the "board play camera"?
It's a great idea but it just seems too complex to be fluid. I'm hoping they keep it simple.Comment
