It's not that, it's that most people who play the 360 (meaning the Halo 3, COD, Gears crowd that makes up most of the 360's user base), and PS3 for that matter, aren't going to give a shit about this type of thing whether it works well or not.

And FWIW, I think most hardcore gamers did and still do think the Wii's controls suck.

This isnt for hardcore gamers you meatheads. MS is trying to expand their market. There are still millions and millions of people out there without a next gen system. All the hardcore guys aleardy have an xbox and will contiue to support MS. They are looking to bite into Nintendo's share and get more casual people interested.

I don't think anyone has said that it was intended for the hardcore gamer. It is quite obvious that this is a gimmick to cash in on the Wii crowd. Will it be successful? I guess it all depends on the price point and how MS markets Natal.

Just another peripheral to either break (ala everything else 360) or become completely useless and a waste of money (HD-DVD add-on, sure am glad I bought that 200 dollar beauty).
