That is funny because I'm doing the opposite. I went from the 100" projector that I just sold down to a 27" PC monitor. My room needs much work now though, in terms of organizing. I'm building a PC, just ordered a huge corner desk , so I need to rearrange the room and my surround speakers. Have my Xbone there now, will hook up my PS3 soon.

I picked up a 40" Samsung 1080p LED TV over the weekend and a new stand to help hold all of my consoles. They are all connected to the TV via an HDMI switch and I have all of them connected via CAT6 to a Gigabit switch to my new 300M fiber Internet connection. This is how the setup looks in my home office-

Looks lik a shrine to Xbox with that green background lighting. Explains a lot.

                          Still nice though.

Looks nice except for that College Dorm Plastic Dresser you have next to the TV/Stand. Dump that ASAP!

I have a PC, a PS3, PS4, Xbone and a satellite receiver all going to a audio receiver, then out to a 27" monitor. Plus, all of the power cords.

What are you guys doing for cable management?

I have an HDMI switcher (only has 4 ports) but I believe I will get a new one and some 3' HDMI cables just to shorten some of the mess. As it is, its a spaghetti cluster and whenever I have to move something, its a near impossible task to figure out what cable goes to what component. There are also (obviously) the surround speaker wires, but those are tied up fairly well.

(Note to self, look for colored HDMI cables.)

Also, is a 'standard' HDMI cable 28 gauge?

That was my temporary stop gap when I didn't have enough room for my PS4 on my old setup. I'll be dumping it as soon as I can find something that looks better and provides the same functionality. I want to keep my headphones on the top and have drawers so that I can put games and controllers in them instead of having them out all of the time.

For things that will never move, I use zip ties. For things that I might move around, I keep all of the old wire ties from old electronics packaging that I have purchased and use them to group together cords.

You can either use colored cables or write on the cord with a sharpie to know which cord goes where. I'm not sure on the gauge of a standard HDMI cable. I have some as big around as my thumb and some that could be mistaken for a headset cord. I prefer the latter since they are much easier to manage in tight spaces behind the TV.
