I can see why people go through 5 360s. Lonewolf and T.Dot, your 360s are in horrible areas. You don't even have one fucking vent open. That is why people's 360s overheat. Get everything off the side off it and put a couple books under it not covering any vents that way all 4 vents will be open and can pull cool air through the Xbox.

Everyone I've ever met who has had their Xbox fuck up has vents covered up. My one friend had to send his in 6 times now and he still keeps a fucking towel wrapped around it because he's scared dust will get inside.

You couldn't be more wrong. Look at my picture again. The only way my 360 could be more ventilated is if it were hanging from a string outside from the bottom of my deck. My wife has the identical TV stand upsatirs but it's one size smaller since she only has a 50" tv.

The bottom line is it's a piece of shit. MS cut tons of corners when they made the thing. If it were truly a ventilation issue then why the fuck have the two PS3's and Wii in my house been fine since day one but I'm on my fifth 360 and my wife is on her third. There's a reason why MS has shelled out OVER $1 BILLION in repair fees.

Do me a favor and step down from the cloud you're floating on.

Isn't your 360 laying on it's side with nothing under it? Correct me if I'm wrong.

And where did I say that that is the only reason 360s fail and that there are no hardware issues? I was expressing that of everyone I've met who has had their 360 fail, they've all had it poorly ventilated, and that is what I'm seeing in Lonewolf's setup and T.Dot's setup.

Please point out where I said that is the only reason for 360s ever failing, or where I praised Microsoft for putting out such a greatly manufactured product.

You do me a favor and step down from that Sony cloud you're floating on.

Really? I'm sorry if I actually expect something to work, let alone at least not break on me four times.

And exactly why on Earth would the bottom of the 360 need to be clear? There are ZERO vents underneath and, I know this is a shocker, but it was DESIGNED to sit that way. It even has little rubber legs under there. Crazy I know.

Because the 360 is designed to stand either vertically or lay horizontally (as you have it). In order for that to be possible, Microsoft placed vents on both the sides on the 360, and on the bottom and top of the 360 so either way you stand it (or lay it), two vents will always be open.

Now knowing that Microsoft has shitty hardware in the 360, it's best to have all four vents allowing cool air through the 360 in order to keep it from overheating and destroying hardware inside the 360. The way you do that is to lay it horizontally (as you have it) and place about 3 books under it, that way the two vents on the side are open, and the other vents on the bottom of the 360 are open to allow air through all the vents on the 360.

Just so you know, there are vents on each side of the 360 and on the top and bottom. The vents are the little rows of holes you see. The air intake is on the back of the 360.

I said get down from your Sony cloud because you said the same thing to me. You interpreted my first post completely wrong and now you're trying to justify your response. I'm not saying Microsoft builds a great product. I like my 360 because of the games and the community, I know the 360 itself isn't built great, however there are steps people can take in order to make their 360 less prone to malfunctioning.

Kind of like how a lot of human beings will do stupid and harmful things, but the government doesn't say "fuck it, we'll let them do whatever they want, God just fucked up creating them it's not our fault". No, the government takes steps to try and prevent these people from doing harmful things. Ain't that right, Mr. Policeman?

I definitely misread what you said then. My apologies.

I still don't see any vents under my 360 and I just checked. But oh well.

I'll post a picture of where its sitting and you'll see why its been booted a few times.

^^I'm sure I've stepped on it a few times as well.

My 360 is still working as well with no problems. And yeah, it's travelled a lot between home and school, and had some good shit done to it. Still working like a champ.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                  "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.
