Yeah KG, Max posted it awhile ago. Was funny as shit watching Crosby slam into the boards, but on the same note, I am glad they did something where if you miss a hit, you still hit the boards.

LMAO at Crosby checking himself into the boards. The board play looks really nice. It seems fluid and doesn't interrupt the flow at all. Facewashing and after the whistle scrums will add an extra 10 min to your online game it looks like. Sounded like the new Green Day song "Know Your Enemy" was in the game.

No idea. I am sure they will have Crosby and Ovechkin at like 98 each or something insane. Last year it went Crosby 96, Ovechkin, 96, Iginla, 94.All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

This link has a bunch of screenshots with player ratings for I believe 4 teams. Haven't gone through them all yet. I believe the teams are the Penguins, Captials, Hurricans and Ducks.
And by this, Crosby's rating dropped to a 94.
And for the Malkin debate, he is a 93.
And what is kind of surprising is that Ovey is a 92.Last edited by Ravin; 07-23-2009, 04:51 PM.All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

Yeah some of the ratings are fucked. Like Dupis is an 80 I believe, yet the guy got benched for the 7th dman in the Cup finals, and Talbot gets an 78 yet scores the winners. How did they come to that logic? All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

Originally posted by MaxMeanieNo love for Max Talbot? For scoring both goals in game 7 on the road you have to give him at least a 97 rating. Ok maybe not that high but he deserves to be in the 80's. Also Sykora an 84 and Jordan Staal an 84, um no. Staal was a monster at the end of the season and throughout the playoffs. 86 to 88 sounds about right.
The ratings of the star players are just as fucked up as NHL09. Whoever does these ratings needs to learn that 100+ points does not necessarily equate to a great defensive forward.Last edited by wr50l; 07-24-2009, 10:40 AM.Comment

jesus really? is there really that much of a difference between 84 & 86 rating?? Its all about the attributes, whats inside the overall rating not just that 1 number.Comment

From what I have been reading recently in this thread, you guys think everyone in the playoffs should be rated as all-stars. Just cuz Talbot scored 2 goals in Game 7, doesnt mean he should be rated as a mid 80s player. Too bad I can't see the ratings at work. Are you guys gonna tell me that Ilya Kovalchuk and Dany Heatley arent 90 ovr players, because they didnt get to the playoffs and do well?
Talbot showed up at game time, and did what he had to do. I say give Crosby a 25 injury rating, cuz he got injured for 2 periods in game 7 of the Stanley Cup, if you guys wanna go by that logic.

the NHL franchise needs a 'clutch' rating.
some guys have it, some guys don't. regardless of ability or talent level, some hockey players simply know how to get the job done when it matters.
Guys like Maxime Talbot, Martin Gelinas, Joe Sakic........would be the guys you want on the ice during crucial moments. From 4th liners to superstars....it doesn't matter.
Guys like Joe Thornton (ok fuck it, just about anyone that wears teal) or Marian Hossa.......perform poorly when it's time to shine.
It would be cool to see the franchise emulate this.Comment
