NCAA 10 Demo Impressions

I just scored 42 points in the demo. I was Oklahoma. It was on All-American tho but still that shouldn't happen...

I just played a game Florida (cpu) vs Oklahoma (me) and i won 44-30 into a 4th overtime. It was 30-30 going into the 4th overtime and i hit a 25 yard fade route and then the two point conversion with the jet sweep. I went up 38-30. Then when florida got the ball i scored a pick six off of Tim Tebow. It was an epic game.

This game plays insanely fast for college football and I've only played it on AA. I can only imagine the Heisman speed cheat.

Pass rush doesn't look to be any different.

Honestly, the game looks pretty much the same as 09, with a few more animations from a game play perspective. The "Aggressive/Conservative" stuff is junk, methinks.

So you're brain dead? Who cares when they make a good NCAA game. The shit will never be nothing more then a one month rental. Madden is football, NCAA is to hold us over. If you're going to buy this shit to use as a coaster, then be my guest.

Actually there's a decent amount of us who don't even buy/play Madden aka me and a few of the other guys that were in our Online Dynasties at Vetz.

In my mind up until this year NCAA has been destroying Madden on overall gameplay and stuff.

This year looks to be the other way but I have little to no interest in Madden or any NFL game for that matter.

Question for you guys:

The graphics look absolutely horrible. It seems to be out of focus/fuzzy or not sharp/crisp or something.

Wondering if this is: (1) a PS3 issue; (2) a standard def t.v. issue and/or (3) a NCAA 10 issue?

I play on Hi Def with a PS3 and I think the game looks very PS2'ish.

Could be that it's a demo but I can't see it improving greatly.

The game looks like ass to me.

It looks like I am going to pass on NCAA for the first time in ages.

Might go with a Madden/NHL purchase this year. Madden has gone from "I won't even look at it" to having my interest piqued very high. Will rent Madden first, but that is a far cry from my opinion of the game say...2 months ago.

NHL will get my money on release day this year, period. I usually held off on NHL games until NCAA wore out, but this year, NHL will get my dough instead of NCAA.

I will rent NCAA to collect years of draft classes and thats about it, it seems.

I agree with Larry ^ - the gameplay is ridiculously fast. Almost like a hockey game.

not buying this game. no way i'm dropping 60 bones so EA can basically wipe their asses with it and hand it back to me.

After playing the demo some more I say its still a decent game, but nothing spectacular Old Gen 04-05 worthy of really making me think of playing it extensively after Madden 10 comes out. I'm not saying it horrible by any means but like someone else pointed out it would be more of a rental to just simulate and save imported rosters to transfer over to Madden.

For $60 that would be a dumb ass decision on my part, especially when I can just download it to a jump drive and transfer it over to my Ps3 when needed.... damn I love this system. So yeah once my game ships. already pre-ordered and paid for, I'll be trading it in for probably Infamous.

To each his own. Just being able to roll with my favorite NFL team gives Madden the nudge. Neither game has been very good compared to other sports games. To be honest, I don't think Madden or NCAA will ever be able to touch MLB the Show as far as graphics, realism, and gameplay is concerned. EA enjoys putting out a lackluster game. Perhaps they should take notes from the NHL team.

So damn true, for the past two years that game has sucked up alot of free time. I remember being hyped up for MGS4 and GTA4 last year, only to put them on the back burner cause I couldn't put the game down. Same this year with hardly playing KZ2, SFIV, and Fallout 3.

Though since I only play RTTS, I have no need to purchase another Show title for a couple years. Well atleast till my guy retires and enter the HOF.

After reading this entire thread all weekend I am still going to buy it regardless. I believe some people are over-reacting to some of these issues. The whole camera thing is something that shouldn't take to long to adjust to. If you don't like the game state your peace and then quit wasting your time trying to convince everyone else not to buy it. Thats just how I'm starting to look at everyone bashing it repeatedly for days. Like it rubs you that wrong where you have to KEEP talking about your dislike of a demo.

fuck that. I don't want anyone to buy it if it's a shitty game. all that does is give EA the green light to put out an even shittier version next year because well why the fuck not? if people buy this garbage it will never be anything but that: garbage.
