The Knicks of New York City Join The ABA With a New Owner and a New Vibe
New York -- Legendary Filmmaker and loyal Knicks' fan, Spike Lee, bought the New York Knicks today. After the legendary American Basketball Association buyout of the National Basketball Association, Mr. Spike Lee bought the failing Knicks, just to keep his team alive. "I didn't want to see the Knicks diminish in such a crisis as the ABA buyout, so I decided just to buy them," said Spike Lee. "I hope to pick up my boy Kobe in the upcoming draft, but Joe Johnson is my dude too." The ABA looks like a breath of fresh air for basketball fans, after the NBA seemed to be dying in the economic crisis, so the financially stable Spike Lee decided to continue his New York City love. "It's sad to see the civilians of NYC lose the Knicks after losing everything else they had in this depression of 2010," he said. "Giving the citizens something to look forward to will really help lift spirits." Look out for the draft Sunday, June 20, 2009.
