Magic get new owner in Brad Paisley
Orlando Sentinel - By: Michael White
A week after the NBA file for bankruptcy a bunch of business owners bought the league and renamed it the American Basketball Association (ABA). All the original teams were kept but some Owners had to back out or had to file for bankruptcy also. Buying the Orlando Magic was Brad Paisley, the country singer who always wanted to own a professional sports team. Brad also decided to keep all his staff except for the head coach, Stan Van Gundy and replaced him with the youngest coach ever, Chris Pollack. The Magic are looking forward to the upcoming draft, Sunday, June 20, 2009 as a new season and era will be beginning for the Magic and the ABA. We will be hearing more news about the team and their upcoming season over the next couple of days.
