What is the (Make it Rain) route?

Well after watching the video I'd have to say it's the most BS receptions known to man.

I actually cannot find that route on the 10 demo. I looked all over for it in the Oki playbook.

Its not a route

If its the same as madden 09 (which it appears) just throw a fade or w.e then run Out of Bounds or way forward then come back for it and you get what the call the "make it rain" animation.

Its really cheesey but like i said if its like 09 ... its not an actual route , the Make it Rain part is the animation that you get

Btw i posted how to do it on here because im pressuming that nobody is lame enough on a sim site to even try this shit . Just you seemed like you were trying to find it on the demo out of curiosity

Also, if you have a zone with under neath coverage can't you just sit under the curls and pick them?

I usually just play my friends, never play the cpu, or randoms online, so this stuff is kind of new to me.

Same as the last post ... if its like 09 the D doesnt react to the curl at all and its pretty much an auto completion unless they drop it

The only d on madden to contain it was 10 man coverage from something like 1-5-5

Good job EA, it's a penalty to go out of bounds and to be the first person to touch the ball. Yet, you can do it for receptions. Perfect.

I've been playing Madden and NCAA for YEARS now, and I never cheese but I've heard of the "Rocket Catch". I never have done it, I think. Is it like when you throw the ball deep, and right where the ball is gonna fall, you press Triangle or Y?

kind of curious about this myself. i've heard the term, but don't exploit it.

Yeah illegal touching isn't in madden, which is has always really bothered me, there's a stunning lack of NFL rules in the game that couldn't possible be that hard to add or take up that much space on the disk

Id explain how to do it but basicly its a pass of any length (not just deep) where you get the wr to turn (quicker the better) and the combo of him turning and pressing the catch button makes him jump in a completly unrealstic manner for some reason

They took out the strafe button so it was harder to do on 09 but people just manually started turning the wide receiver around in no time at all .

Hopefully with the new slower turnrates the rocket will be dead on 10.

Both these guys used to post on MaddenList . This was there game in some freestyle league . The Giants user uses the rocket catch ALOT for people who are curious as to what it looks like
