D Wade heading to L.A.

When the ABA began, the general opinion was that The Lakers would be headed there, just unsure of who would be running the team, Mitch Kupchak walked, and the star studded lineup was gone.

Jerry Buss ended up hiring GM Whatupdoe, who has no experience whatsoever, but is a young charismatic guy who wants nothing more then to help a team to a championship.

When L.A. learned that they recieved the 3rd overall pick, everyone in the office knew who they wanted....The Black Mamba.

When Kobe was taken 2nd overall, The lakers didnt have to scramble, they knew who they were going to pick.

" We were going Wade, 100%. Clearly the next best player on the board and with him, a guy who wont give up on a play and will give you All-Star Offense as well as Defense, the move was a nobrainer" The New GM said.

As for the rest of the draft, The lakers are using the wait and see approach.

"Gotta see who is going to be there when our picks come around, obviously we are going to be able to pick up some great players, just a matter of getting the ones who fit our system"

When asked about a coach, whatupdoe said nothing has been announed, but expects the Zen Master back.

"In my mind Phil is going to be the coach, when he sees the team he is going to have to play with, I dont think he will have a choice."
