1. Madden Midnight Releases have become lame to me - when it was a new thing and sorta unknown I thought it was pretty damn cool. Now it's like people show up who have no idea wtf they're doin there.

2. why would i do either of those things?

I used to do the midnight release thing until i got a real job and have to be up early, damn that. I'll get it at 5:30 pm when i get off. Im sure as hell not taking release day off of work like some guys do either.

If you have nothing better to do than sit outside a store at mid til 1 or 2 in the morning to only play 2 or 3 time before going to bed, do it, Or just get it when the store opens and play it all day. Actually I did it once and it didnt feel cool so I'm never going to do it again. The last couple of years I've been getting it early so it's no big deal.

stay up until 12am get the game, talk shit for a lil bit, go home, play it... Colors hypnotizes you, you get sleepy you fall asleep around 3-4am wake up around 12-1pm do whateva then start playing....

Go to sleep around 11pm wake up at 8am, eat, shower, 9am mall opens you go get game more energy to play it and see what you can do and all the dummies who waited until midnight will be sleep while you practice or rank yourself online.

Last year I got home at 12:40, went to sleep at I think 2:30. I'm Not a Night Owl. Lol. I'll go to the Midnight release. I'm 16. No job, no kids. Gotta have fun. Last year I met these wannabe Cowboy fans at my GameStop where I told them my Eagles will go 11-5, they laughed at me and predicted under 500, and a Superbowl for the Cowboys. lololololol.
