    Waive player?

is there even an option to "waive" a player. It seems as if you have to outright release the player, but i think they should add an option to place a player on waivers.

That's a good question, I'm pretty sure even if you waive him he can still have his player option, not positive though.

I think you could probably trade him for an expiring contract though, put him on the block and you should get some offers.

Trade him and Charlie Bell to Cleveland for Wally, West, and Hickson. You could do just Redd for Wally and Hickson, but if you add Bell you can get rid of his bad contract and pick up West who is a pretty good young guard.

Sounds like a good idea to trade away your draft picks for a player you aren't going to resign when you are a rebuilding team.
