Games that build up a lot of hype such as Madden and COD and Halo tend to dissapoint a lot of people when they buy it and it isn't what they expect. That's why everyone is naming major titles, not the ones we KNEW was gonna be a rental.

    Anyway my dissapointments.

    #1 Halo 3.

I had so much fun playing Halo 2. I loved playing Team Snipes, Shotguns and Swords, MLG BR matches. I just loved Halo 2. The worst map in Halo 2 beats the best map in Halo 3. When Halo 3 was released at midnight I was there. I played the game for about a month and couldn't play it much longer after that. Just a flat out dissapointment.

    #2 MLB2k9

This was the year I was finally gonna be able to play with my Rays and they were gonna be competitive in the game. I rented the game, played it 3 times and turned it in. Everything was just so god damn awful about the game. I had some faith in them after putting out a shitty 2k8 there was no way they could put out a shitt 2k9 for 2 years in a row could they? Yes they can.

Ties for third: Madden 2008, Assasins Creed, and COD WaW.

I think the only reason I didn't like WaW was because MW was soooooooooo great that no matter what they put out I wasn't gonna be happy.

To each his own. I had a blast with FC2.

        agree.......
i dont get the GTA hating......i dont think it lived up to the hype but it was still a great game. The SP mode had flaws and the missions were a bit easy, but still a long and enjoyable SP mode. Plus it gave us what we long been asking for.....online modes

              As did I.

I'm thinking about reinstalling and playing it over again because there was a lot of stuff I simply didn't do because I only played one way.

If any FC2 was underrated. Its not a "great" game but its pretty good.

                Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007

I bought the game as my first 360 ame ever and man I dont think i finished a game.

To this day I still play Tiger Woods 2003 on ps2. By far the best golf game and probaly played that game longer then any in my collection.

Yeah, it wasn't great but it was definitely good and it was a lot of fun, in my opinion. All the driving around was a a pain in the ass. The weapons breaking down was a nice touch but got to be a pain after a while. But overall it was a lot of fun nad kept me hooked until I finished it, over thirty hours later.

I enjoyed Civilization on PS3. Maybe it was because I never played the PC version, but the game was very addicting.

CoD: W@W sucked. You can say it's a re-hashed version of CoD4, but it's not. The maps flat out suck, can't even think of a semi-decent one, the weapons blew (not just cause they were WW2 weapons, because they were so unbalanced that everyone ran around with the same gun), artillery strikes blew ass, and the graphics looked like CoD4 watered down.

I understand Rockstar wanting to take the franchise in a new direction, but they could have given us a few options from SA(modding cars, for example). IMO, they concentrated too much on multi-player.

If you never made it very far into the game then you missed a whole lot and its your fault not fallouts... It was lacking a little bit from previous installments that I anticipated would be in Fallout 3 but I thought most the reviews were spot on....

It's the type of game you have to commit to play a lot. No, not every mission was amazing or balls to the wall but the story, the exploration, even the intentional dullness were all great aspects of the game.

And the little pop culture references and easter eggs scattered throughout the game... Wasn't nearly enough of it IMO but it was def the little things that make that game so great...

Absolutely. I liken it a lot to Shadow of the Colossus. Not sure how many guys here played it, but that was an AMAZING game.

There were no enemies really, just bosses (Colossi) and only like 11-12 of them. So you basically spent half of the game going through his vast land looking for these things.

It may sound boring, but not every game should be balls to the wall, explosions here, zombies attacking, blah blah. The calmness of SOC actually really had you thinking, and because there weren't any details given you were almost completely on your own to wonder what these Colossi were, why I'm the only one here, why I have to kill them, what happens if I kill them, etc.

Fallout 3 is amazing because it's the ultra non-linear game... you can pretty much do whatever the fuck you please. You could waste 70 hours and never complete one mission if you don't want to. I'm sorry if you found it dull, but if you only play it for 15 minutes and don't realize the story or the concept of the game... then that's your own fault.
