    Bigs 2 Impressions

Just picked the game up this morning (360), and played 2 pretty solid 5 inning games.

As expected scores are much more tame and tolerable then the demo. I played 2 games, Yanks vs. Red Sox, 5 inning games as the Yanks. Won the first game 3-2, lost the 2nd game 4-3.

I still saw alot of legendary catches, but more misses too. I think because these teams just have alot of players legendary attributes. CPU did a good job of subbing players especially pitchers. He went with Okijami in the 4th and Papel to close it out.

Rosters - They have downloadable rosters as of April on live, don't know if the game is more updated then that, afraid to download and load it..lol.

Rosters only include 6 pitchers 3 starters. But Wakefield is in the Red Sox bullpen and his knuckle ball is nasty.

You can also edit rosters, and trade players, which is a nice addition this year rosters are deeper, but of course don;t provde the depth other baseball games do, but some nice key additions people will like.

    Some other things:
-I like that players get hurt and their attributes dip signifcantly, pitchers who get hit with line drives, or fielders, or catchers who get plowed, or runners who get plowed by catchers. Those plays can be very key in the game as far as taking a key player on the other side out. The stadiums look awesome, however the game still looks a bit too dark, but I think they like that spotlight effect on the players.

The one HR Pinball location in Tokyo is pretty cool, they have a female announcer who talks in mostly japanese. It's a cool location also because targets are layed out different, closer, and when you hit them they come crumbling down alot closer to you.

Their is an offline setting where you can turn power ups OFF (except legendary attributes). Can't remember if you could do that last year.

Also in the Tokyo HR Pinball field if you look right above one of the towers there is a statue of a Godzilla type creature and you can see his head..lol. I bet you can probably hit him.

Can you check and see what type of stats are tracked in season mode?

I'll be getting the game when Amazon ships it, so hopefully Friday at the latest

ok just simmed 20 games with the Marlins in season mode.

It's pretty bare bones stats wise, definately a disappoint in season because their is no League Leaders, at least I don't see it anywhere.

They have an option in season for Stats and Standings.

When you click on that, you have league standings available and the stats are of only your players, And for pitchers no save catgoies. There is also something called Legendary Milestones. There is a some other bare bones categories such as season score, trade power, skill rank. No where during a season game will you have the players current stats on screen during the game, at least I don't see it. I know 2k talked up season mode, but never went into it to much, maybe thats why, it's pretty bare bones, a bummer in a pretty well put together game.

Yeah it's probably a game worth a look for the 360 guys, for the sole purpose that we don;t really have a baseball fix since 2k9 didn;t do it for us. You guys on the ps3 side are all set with the show.

It was only 5 inning default game so I think that was about accurate, don';t know if you were lol'ing about that.

I like the gameplay, but 2 things that are pissing me off:

Injuries; anytime there's a collision there's an injury that fucks up attributes. Even when I'm trying to turn a double play and someone slides into the SS, there's an injury

and now instead of a fatigue bar, a player is either "fatigued" or not fatigued, I liked the other system way better

tasty are you seeing the attributes right after the play where it says "wounded" and then shows the attbutes going down? I'm trying to figure out if it tells you there is an attribute decline all the time or can they stillo decline with out that message coming on the screen?

Also you check out season yet? Was I right about League Leaders? I am pretty sure they have no league leaders that I could see.

That's the only thing bothering me. Injuries aren;t bothering me that much, actually I kinda like them. Unless their our attribute declines going on I don't see.

I'm going to probably rent it tomorrow, not sure if I would play it enough this year to actually buy it, but we'll see.

Yeah you're right about the stats, no league leaders. Ryan Braun is hitting .833 so far though

Not sure about the injuries, I think they only go down when the "wounded" message comes up, but every time there's been a collision it's come up for me so I don't know.
