Depends on your GameStop man. I know mine is. Usually you'll know as they'll have posters/ads on the front door talking about it, but if not, just call GS up and ask them.

It depends on how many pre-orders they got.. They aren't paying their employees to be there till 3am just to give out a dozen copies.

These things are scheduled in advance. I'm friends with a manager that works my local gamestop. Today they got a memo that they're to start taking Final Fantasy XIII pre-orders. A game that's not due until next year. He mentioned that GameStop doesn't know a launch date yet but anticipates a midnight release.

Sidenote: I picked up the Guitar Hero World Tour bundle for my Wii today. GameStop is running a bundle deal for every system: $100 off automatically. Add that and my trade value in for all my wife's PS2 gear and the bundle cost $7.00.

Question for you guys. GS is offering 20% more for trade-ins towards a copy of NCAA Football 10. I'm wondering how much you guys think I would make for FIFA 09 & NCAA Football 09? My guess is maybe $20 total right? Just curious, not actually gonna do it.

NCAA Football 09 = $3 trade in.. went there a few weeks ago to get the show. So I was like fuck you very much gamestop.

A lot of GameStops are doing a mid-night release and tournament. All you win though is a Xbox 360 face plate.

I went up to Walmart last year around 11:45 and there were like 8 or so guys waiting to get it. If a gamestop is having a tourney by me I might as well just go there since I don't have work the next day.

Not really. I've tried twice in the last month to pawn off my copy of '09 on EBAY and didn't get a look. Take the $3.

Anyone know if they take back the guides? I have the '09 NCAA prima in mint, otherwise it's going in the trash.

I'd MUCH rather keep a game I paid $60 at the time than get $3 back for it, fuck that. Besides, I'm a collector when it comes to the NCAA Football & Madden series.
