So I gotta ask, is there ANY SPORTS videogame that you actually DO like? You're on the 360 I see, so it sucks that you can't play MLB 09: The Show...although I'm sure you'd have something bad to say bout that as well. ;)

I'm currently enjoying NBA 2k9.. Although, that game also has it's issues. But with re worked rosters, and the player lock feature, I do find some enjoyment.. I'm also looking forward to NBA 2K10, which I may go with over Madden 2010. I won't go with both, so before I make my decision, I'll give Madden a rental. Because, I do like the blogs and what Ian has tried to do with the game, but to see it all play out that way, seems highly unlikely to me.

After watching the madden vids - I have noticed too many interceptions, too many pick 6s, and too many high scoring games... all game killers... at least to me. I am far from impressed with any video that has been released.

But I am a long time Madden fan, so I will give it a rental, before I condemn it to hell.

Big head mode is coming to NCAA 11. Bad news for mascot game fans as the mascot game will have to be removed b/c of space issues.

LMAO! The first thing I thought of when I watched that vid and Ian brought up that "big head mode" I thought damn, if only NCAA was like that...stupid ass Mascot Games, lol!

If Ian truly wanted Nuk to buy this game he would've put Kurt Warner on the cover and made him 110 overall.

Ian, a serious question though. Is Looman still going to be doing the franchise mode for Madden '11? I remember how great he made head coach, hopefully he can work his magic in Madden as well.

Also, got one question for you Ian. For the pre-game warmups where you show the players and then their stat lines (like all their 2008 key stats), when you play Franchise Mode and let's say you're 5 years into Chise Mode, opening game of the new season, would it show that players stats from the year before in your Franchise?

Good one. I think I'm going to write a blog about this exact thing very soon. In short, yes, it's dynamic and updates all the time. I'll go into more detail in the blog though.

I liked the video. Cool to see you guys added in the little details that make the game more presentable to watch. I'm a big fan of getting the little stuff right, and if I see you guys putting in the extra effort for presentation, it's safe to say that you're putting in the extra effort for gameplay as well (although the results may not show completely in the first year).

They say people buy from people, and maybe it sounds like I'm sucking up, but I really like what the Madden team has done this year. I was really expecting to pass on 2010 after last year's game, and although it's obviously still far from perfect, it's a step in the right direction.. and I'm happy to support it.

On a more serious note, I'm fairly excited about Madden this year (despite being an outspoken critic before), though, it is somewhat dampened after watching NCAA release videos.

Different design teams, different games, yada yada, but it's the same studio. I mean, really, still no pass rush? How is that even possible. Are the testers really that bad, or is it intentional? I don't know, I doubt I'll ever know. Let alone with whole facemask debacle (black face masks confirmed by Ben, but not in the final version).

I think it's unfair to lump Ian in with the NCAA team, but with recent history it raises a flag.

On that note, I'll still be picking up Madden early if only so I can offer legit criticism in the game. Whether 10 is the greatest game ever or not, atleast Ian listens (or is really good at pretending too, and that still makes me fuzzy inside).

I totally listen to you guys. I've already made sure the 4-3 gets removed from the game and that the pass rush is made less effective.

As long as I can run the A-11 offense in Madden '11 it's all good.

On a side note - what's the NCAA facemask thing you speak of?

Someone asked if the Iowa facemask in the game was black (as it is in real life)
Ben said they added the black facemask.

In honesty, I didn't see the original thread so that's second hand knowledge. Theres a few others who will be able to chime in with more detail (the OS migrant workers we've brought in).

Hmm...I wonder how the heck could that happen. Merge error on a late bug fix or something maybe. That sucks - stuff like that can happen and really screw you over. We don't have time typically to go BACK over issues that are fixed to make sure they aren't re-broken. Ugh - uniform issues are such a pain...I wish EVERYTHING was just on a TeamBuilder-esque site so we wouldn't have to worry about it - we could fix it all year long (and you guys could help fix it too).

You guys should do it anyway lol
