i really think your missing houtz's point. nevertheless, you said there were at least 2 hardcore madden players there and the hype for the game is on track, so we will see. maybe if the game sucks bad enough the flames will engulf the people that tried it out at CD as well.

How, exactly, is it relevant? If they'd sent a bunch of guys who played the shit out of '09, I'd personally be a bit worried.
Of the 9 guys that went to CD (Dave, The Watcher, LBzrule, Joborule, Kane669, BeZo, Rgiles, Dave, myself), I'd say two (Kane and joborule) probably played '09 extensively.Comment

The point isn't to make '10 a better game than '09. The point is to make '10 a perfect game. It doesn't matter if a flaw in '10 is a carry over from '09 or if it is a brand new issue, a flaw is a flaw.Comment

If the online franchise mode is as advertised, I'll probably be playing a lot of madden this year.
However, I remain very cautiously optimistic. I was also very excited last year when online leagues were announced, and those were a complete joke.
I'm of the belief that without any competition in the football gaming industry, EA will never produce another really good cutting edge football game. Hopefully I am wrong. This will be the first year I won't be buying Madden at release. I'll be waiting for the reviews on the online franchise before deciding if I should buy or not.Comment

Video looks awesome. All the little things make it that much better.
Now if Madden could get the Cardinals player's positions accurate, they could be going places...

I haven't played Madden in years, but the viral content released for this game has intrigued me enough to rent it (sorry Ian, can't give you more than that)...and if this game plays as well as the gameplay videos show (consistently), and if Franchise mode comes through, as promised, it'll definitely be purchased. Game surely doesn't look perfect, but better than I've seen from this series ever, and that is by a long shot.
I'm passing on NCAA this year, as I've pretty disappointed with NCAA on the next gen consoles and this years game looks like they are running on a tredmill...so I'm in the market for a football game. Let's hope Madden turns out OK (finally)...however, I'm cautious. I've been duped before.
Ian, any chance we can get an idea of what you all have done about the importing of draft classes in the NCAA series to Madden considering the ratings changes you guys did. If we import, are we going to end up with incredibly high rated rookies with non-proportional ratings to the guys in the game/pre-made draft classes you guys did? I haven't read enough from OS or here to know if this has been answered yet or if its a "we'll see" or "I don't know." so...uh...I'll hang up, thanks in advance.Last edited by LiquidLarry2GhostWF; 07-12-2009, 10:45 PM.Comment
