A New Rating EA Must Add IMO

I'm pretty sure awareness plays at least a tiny part in penalties.

I feel like penalties are more dependent on the officiating crew and circumstances than the players committing them...

Ya i don't know about that one, isn't really a football attribute. D'hall commited alot of those penalties cuz he was uncomfortable playing so much man. There's no way to mimic that in a video game, at least not yet. D hall would commit just as many P.I penalties in zone as he would in man if it was a rating, and then that wouldn't be true to real life. While it is a good base, i think the idea needs to be fleshed out more.

Yeah, exactly right. I mean the refs cost the ravens the pittsburgh game in Baltimore which would of made us the higher seed and most likely won the Super Bowl. That holmes catch wasnt a catch but they beat us 3 times so suppose they where the better team lol

I kinda like this idea but i think that there should be heaps of new ratings such as the QB dropback. This is what faults so many rookie quaterbacks because they are use to playing shotgun, and it can effect your play. As Rams fans will find out Kyle Boller likes to stand on his own linemans feet lol

won the super bowl? gtfo, joe flacco gagged in the championship game and that play in baltimore was a td, just let that shit go already.

penalites are a part of the real nfl games but this is one area i dont want to see more realism in madden. i like to see PI calls when the player get manually bumped by his oppenent and i do like the roughing the passer calls for a late hitstick on the qb, but that facemask shit is out of control.

i think ur on to something. it seams like therse is....as a matter of fact there is no way to get ur opponent to false start in madden. if ur idea gets put into action this means that ppl like flozell adams and any tackle playin in oakland (just a joke calm down) will finally reflect there real life selves. same goes for holding although i have seen a lot of that. and what about the corners? it should be a risk reward type of thing because we all kno that al harris and charles woodson are the mose physical tandem in the game but also one of the most penalized. shouldnt that show on the video game? i dont see how any of this could hurt. Even if it does become too much, modify the sliders but it will be a couple years until they can add this attribute anyway but great idea tho.
AND CAN THEY FIX THE DAMN FACEMASK CALLS WHEN U GO FOR A STRIP. its like 80% of the time its a facemask and its only 1 DAMN animation for it WTF!!!!!!

yeah then they do it - and there's penalties every other play and you peeps complain about how there's too many penalties.

when's the last time EA has done anything right?

                      I do like the idea.

There needs to be more drive-killing penalties for one thing. We don't see enough of those and that helps contribute to the large number of shootouts on Madden.

There needs to be that big holding penalty on 2nd and 10 that basically ends a drive more often.

Madden doesn't need more penalties CALLED, what is does need is more acurate penalties
ADDED. For example illigal touching. WR can't be the 1st player to touch the ball if he goes out of bounds before he catches it

                          Bingo.

I don't want my players getting flagged every other play and how would you judge a "penalty" rating in the first place? There's only a handful of habitual offenders in the league and sometimes they aren't as bad as they were the previous year.
