Yeah I've avoided it because it seems like when I go back, Madden and NCAA feel like shit compared to it. I get depressed that Madden isn't as good as it. But maybe that'll get better with 10.Comment

I did up until the begging of summer. The online scene is stale now. Spread offense, positions moved around and guys throwing 3 or 4 different routes a game. Run the post and deep corner patterns which aren't defended properly, dump a flair pattern to a back and throw those quick out patterns.
The offline game is pretty bad. The AI stinks.
APF was a very good game, but everyone who still plays it has figured the game out now. It's stupid NOT to play the game that way, it's almost impossible to defend.
Sure, you can beat the bad players who use this strategy. They don't really understand why it works so well and get impatient and cute. The good ones just abuse the system, and those games boil down to luck (fumbles, actually intercepting a pass instead of dropping it).
It wouldn't be such an issue if games were readily available. On a good night you might get 100 online, but most nights it's under 50, with only 10-15 really looking for games. Either you run into a dolt who you'll drill by 30, or you go against a good player and see the same boring strategy.Comment
