How impossible is it going to be to play that game on the iphone though? It just looks slow and I doubt you could do any of the complex stuff portal had.

The iphone needs almost a game page addon to it. Like the slide out keyboards but for games only. Unless they already made it then cool.

PocketGamer got word earlier today that a group of very industrious developers have been taking on the monumental task of porting none other than Valve Software's Portal to the iPhone using the Unity Engine. They even included a video of an iPhone running the game. Click through for multi-dimensional brain-twisting goodness.

The first thing we thought when we saw this was, of course, "Is this cake a lie?". We're not completely sure, but the video does seem pretty convincing, and we really hope it's real. I've needed a portal gun on my iPhone for far too long.

With great games like Rolando 2, Earth Defense, Mega Man II, Must.Eat.Birds, etc... the iPhone 3GS has easily surpassed my DS Lite in terms of mobile gaming.

Mega Man is horrible on the iPhone.
