    OK, contemplating buying

What's the consensus on the PS3 version this year? I heard about some of the broken sliders and rosters, but hey, what else is new with this game? :eyeroll:

My question for those that have it is; Is it worth blowing my cash on at this point? And is there a legit roster done yet that I can download?

Might as well wait for Madden, but if you like college football better than NFL you should get it.

If you liked NCAA 09, really think you're going to utilize team builder, enjoy and participate in Online Dynasty, or really enjoy Campus Legend(Now Road to Glory) then I say go for it.

If you only like one or maybe two of those things, then save your money. Or rent it.

I like it. The patch fixed the broken sliders and I'm enjoying the gameplay overall. I haven't encountered any game breakers yet. I haven't started my dynasty yet, but it appears player ratings and progression are broken again this year. I'm not sure how I'll feel about this until I get into my dynasty.

If you like college football, I think you'll enjoy the game. However, don't expect any groundbreaking features. If you're a casual college fan and more of a NFL fan, save your money.

Why does everyone say, "If you're a college football fan."

What about this game, besides the teams and conferences, players, and stadiums, is true to College Football?

As a football game, NCAA sucks.

they dont realize the gameplay sucks, just more worried about how the field looks and the school songs being played during the game

Because if you don't care about college football, it is much harder to accept the flaws.

I'm a casual baseball fan and loved playing the Show 09. But if the game had some annoying issues, I wouldn't have bothered buying it.

The option. Recruiting. Teams and conferences are also pretty big to some people.

Not sure why there is so much negativity about this game. With the exception of the pass rush I don't see anything that's really broken. In fact, I think it plays an awful lot like last gen. It's certainly the best next-gen game.

Now, I'm not going to buy it until the Madden demo drops and I get some quality game time with it. This is a game that I've played before, albeit, relatively polished compared to the last few years. The AI improvements are pretty nice and I like the defensive keys/play setup choices.

Now, a lot of the common flaws are still in the game. It's twitchy and it's too fast. Procedural awareness doesn't exist. The pocket isn't great and the AI still need work (even if its improved).

I'm excited for Pro-Tak and the the slowed down speed of Madden. Offline, the AI enhancements look very promising in terms of play callin tendencies.

If Madden is as good as I hope (and my expectations are tame compared to some) I'll never touch NCAA 10 again once the demo drops on the 23rd. The speed, AI and tackling should render NCAA obsolete if those features work.

NCAA 10 has had me up to 2 and 3 am still trying to get gaming time in before work...lol...I haven't done this since the hallowed days of NCAA 04.
Damn! Talk about a blast from the past. Where the fuck have you been the last few years? I thought you had a 360? You still coaching?

Good to see ya, Doom...its been awhile. Send me a friend request on PSN (Helicopter20) and we'll get some games in if you get Madden this year. This is the first time ever that I didn't buy NCAA. I hated last year's game and 10 looked too similar to me.

Up to you, if you are a die hard college fan with an actual team you support then you'll love it. The gameplay is great and it's still college f'n football on the PS3....If you are more of an NFL guy I'd say just wait.

I love the game but those who prefer Madden are already tuning it out it seems.

I'm still coaching, only now, I'm in your neck of the woods. I live in Marion, AR just outside of Memphis. I'll be in Nashville in October for a Titans game.

I had a 360, it died and I refused to buy a game that I had to constantly listen for weird noises from to signal impending death. LOL. I love NCAA 10, it plays better than any NCAA I can remember to date. I will definitely be getting Madden. I have a feeling Madden will be the standard bearer this year, which is needed since it was supposed to be that way all along.

I'll shoot you a friend request.
Well, good deal then. Glad to hear from ya and that you are doing well. I'm very tempted to get NCAA but seeing as how I've already held out for a week, I'll just wait for Madden and hopefully the demo will keep me occupied for a few weeks.

I feel ya on the 360 reliability thing. I bought one a few months after it came out and bought a PS3 a year later. I had both for awhile, but like you, I got tired of sending the 360 off for repairs every three months (total of 3 repairs before I finally got rid of it and held onto the PS3). Glad you found this place and I'm looking forward to some Madden games with you. Still rolling with the Cowboys, I assume?

Let me know when it gets closer to time for you to come to Nashville if you want me to tell you some good bars or restaurants to visit. Who knows...I may even see you at the Titans game! Later, man. Good to see you around again.

You coach Marion or West Memphis?
