Offensive Play Switching

I've been working with an offensive scheme in which I want to use motion on every play. However, sometimes I overshoot the person I want to motion and then have to cycle all of the way back through. Is there a faster way to get to the player that I want to motion than just pressing O?

On defense, I can use the L-stick + O. That didn't seem to work on offense. Am I missing something?

Maybe I'm just moving my controls too quick and the game isn't reading it right then. Doing multiple adjustments has been driving me nuts so far this season.
