Probably some sort of prize. How much people do you expect to be there? If theres enough people maybe you can make the entrance fee like 1 or 2 dollars and then whoever wins takes home all the cash. So if the entrance fee is 2 dollars and theres 100 people whoever wins it all would end up taking home 200 dollars.

I was thinking free admission for the first tourny $1,000 prize and then starting another the next month $50 admission $5,000 prize. What you think about that?

Make sure you have everything confirmed to be available for you. Enough TV's(Make sure there all the same. If you cant get all HD, then just have just one...maybe just for the Championship), enough consoles(try to have the same console)...prizes, 1, 2, 3rd place. And probably food/drink. That's all dudes really need to hear to sign up lol.

Witness held a tourney back when we were in high school and it was dope. The only thing I didn't like was that we had a bunch of different consoles(PS2/Xbox 1 and 360. So you really had to be on your game. We also had a bunch of different tv's. Projectors and CRT. The championship was played on a projector and it was so fuckin hard to see the screen. And we played 1 min qtrs cause it was at the school's lunch time.

All the advice I can give is making sure everything will be there. It sucks when you have a big turn out and shit isn't there or people have to wait, etc...

Make them use random teams

Or pick a Primary/Secondary team and force them to use that team for the whole tournament.

Maybe have a loser's bracket depending on how many people you get to sign up.

Usually when I play with my friends we just L2 it up. It makes things real interesting.

With your friends sure. But theres going to be some competitive people. They'll probably want to run with the team they want.
