Because most people are fucking retarded. When I talk to anyone with half a brain that actually knows anything about gaming their console of choice is a PS3 or it's the only console they have.

And as far as game sharing is concerned, it's easily one of the most innovative things this gen.

Do the people who are bashing the 360 now bash the PS2 before?

That was a retarded statement and blatantly calls out half (or more) of the gamers on VSN. Just because you have a reliable system doesn't mean you know something about gaming, doesn't mean you don't either. Other people simply prefer the 360. And those that do are usually hardcore online gamers simply because PSN is an infant compared to Xbox Live.

People with both systems often buy all of their FPS games for Xbox 360 simply because Xbox Live is leaps and bounds ahead of PSN.

Just because you own a PS3 doesn't mean you're a "real gamer" or something stupid like that, it just means you prefer a reliable system over everything else.

Never tried game sharing on my PS3 and I haven't heard much about it. I was really excited about Home, but it was horrible and I used it maybe twice before deleting the date off my PS3. DLC appears to cost the same amount on 360 and PS3. Microsoft can also put up their demos whenever they need to, PS3 users have to wait until Thursday. Not that that was a problem to me because I had a 360 as well and could play the demos on there.

Yes I went through 2 ps2s, i believe. My first one lasted me about 5 years and my second one lasted me until i traded it in towards a new console. I know it had problems with dying out that i typically didnt hear about with the original xbox. Im not saying they didnt happen, but i wasnt on the internet with all the gamewars back then so i might not have known if they did.

The damn disc read error was a mofo on those things. I think technically the xbox blew the ps2 out of the water, but PS2 had the market share. When i would play games at my buddies house such as MVP Baseball, NBA Street, etc that i had on ps2 and he had on xbox i think his graphics looked better maybe it was just me. Sony was the big boy on the video game block WITH THE ONE YEAR advance on the marketplace.

It seems to be more of the same here, the 360 is quite possibly the most unreliable piece of electronics in US History, but it came out a year before the higher priced PS3 and owns the market.

I think you misread what I said a bit. What I was trying to say is that most people seem to choose the Wii or 360 because they are completely ignorant as to what the Ps3 actually offers. They just see the price and figure "Fuck it." Now, I know most of these people are soccer mom types that walk into a game store or electronics store wanting to buy a game console for little Billy. They just see the cheapest one or the one thwy've heard about the most ("Oh, I've heard a lot about that Wii thing! Barbara down the street bought it for her kid and even she likes to play aerobics on it!")

The fact is that most consumers out there don't make informed purchase decisions when it comes to this stuff. Hell, I was technically one of them a few years ago. I was going to wait until the PS3 released before buying a new console. But after only a few months my lack of patience overwhelmed me and I bought a 360. Four more 360's later and I regret the hell out of that purchase. Had I waited a bit longer I would've seen all of the issues popping up. But instead not only did my first 360 break withing TWO WEEKS but I was forced to send it in for repair because even though it was within the return period plus I had a Best Buy warranty it was useless because they were still arare at the time and the store didn't have any replacements.

Fast forward a few years and now I'm in for the long haul because I've invested so much money into the system.

When it works it's great. the problems are so prevalant it's a joke and it gets so old when people say "360 pwns! PS3 suxorz!" and add dome bullshit comment like Maynard added.

Obviously everyone is entitle to their opinion but I stand by my statement when I say that if someone really sat back and weighed the positives/negatives and value of each console the PS3 is the clear winner.
