My xbox keeps freezing. It wont even go to the dashboard... Fucking shit. Microsoft wants me to pay 100 bucks to get it fixed. Fuck that you cheap bitches. i'm thinking about trading it in. Will they check to see if it works? If they dont how much will I get for it. I might trade in my Ps2 to get more money. I should get a ps3. Or should I just pay the 100 bucks to get it fixed?

Either find a way to get it to red ring or trade it in. Unlike what these guys are saying I'm 99% sure Gamestop doesn't even check to see if the shit works. They might plug it in just to see if the power comes on but they aren't hooking it up to a tv. A manager even told me they don't care. They get sent back to some warehouse to get refurbished anyway.

If you don't have that much money invested in it get rid of that turd and get a PS3. If you do have a lot invested just try to force the red rings and get MS to replace it.

my boys PS3 was fucked up and wasnt reading games or nuttin and they only checked if it went to the dashboard..idk if he got lucky..

my ps3 also fucked up 2x and i just sold that bitch after i fixed it for 280 and ive had xbox for months now and 0 problems.

They actually do check them now. Most Gamestops have the little portable LCD screen (if not, a regular TV) that they attach it to, they will hook everything up, put in a game, and test it out before they take em. Had them do that to both my 360 and PS3 with about 8 people sitting in line in the middle of the day.

They are pretty much guaranteed to check 360s because of the failure rate.
