EA did a tremendous job on Madden 10 this year. I would of paid $100 for the game if that's what they asked for it. The graphics, presentaion, and gameplay are finally up to par with what the next generation console capabilities are. I applaud Ian and the rest of the Madden game developers for coming up with a football sim I can finally sit down and enjoy.

For the record, I thought the 2K football games sucked (APF and 2K5) in every aspect except for presentation. The animations (specifically running) and gimmicky "charge-ups" were laughable at best. I don't even want to mention the atrocity that was their playbooks. I regret buying those games and even while getting them at a reduced price, I paid too much.

I've always been one to support the better product, and to me, Madden has always been the better product...exclusivity or not.

i agree with you on the running. they coined the phrase herky jerky.....lol. And the charge up thing was pretty lame, but for a 2004 game it was in line with the gimmicks being offered by all the sports games. 2k8 was just a port of 2k5, so they didnt change much of the core features like the charge up thing.....but i agree it was silly.

I also agree that 2k playbooks were poorly designed. They were huge and offered the user tremendous variety in formations and packages. But the play designs and overall look of the play calling screen were horrible imo. I can get past the play call screen. But the play designs were not very imaginative and the defualt playbooks had the same plays in every formation. So while you had 20 formations, each formation had the same play over and over with a few exceptions here and there.

the animations i will disagree with except what u said about the running. Well, that and the floating passes. But i think they are still beyond madden in animations that you would see. You may not have spent enough time with the game to see all this, but they really had it nailed down with realistic animations.

the big difference is the actual gameplay. The realistic feel of 2k5 and 2k8 are still way above and beyond what you get from madden. When i was done playing a game of 2k football i felt like i had just finsihed watching a real football game that had all the excitment of the NFL. They really captured this better then any sports game i have played.

MLB the Show is about as good as it gets now for realistic play....but 2k sure was great when it was around

Sir, while I can respect your opposition, let me touch upon a couple of the finer points of this game that might swerve your feelings about Madden 10:

1. Gameplay and animations are much improved over last year.
2. They have pretty much fixed the lag/disconnects from last year.
3. Protak
4. Alternate uniforms!

Plus it's from EA Sports! How could it go wrong?

A couple of things here:

1. Typing kiddo does not make you tough, in fact it makes you seem immature. Further, I, being a former APF2k8 player, and an avid one at that knows for a fact you are just that, an immature child. Please stop posting kiddo in every post, it is more of an annoyance than anything.

2. You do not play videogames, only sports games? Really? You are the same person that used to get lambasted over at the 2k forums for using every glitch in the book to win games in APF. Then you would come into the forums and blow your own horn the whole time. You constantly had to CLAIM you played sim, rather than just doing so. Instead everyone that played you had the same complaint.

3. You complained to the higher ups at youtube to get videos of your glitching on APF removed, and subsequently did. Do not think I don't remember that.

4. You exploited the FG/Freeze glitch every single time you were losing, and this is fact as there was video evidence. Further, you had MULTIPLE names on 2ks forums and on xbox live so you would not be banned.

Look man, the bottom line is you are a joke. Go back to wherever you came from, obviously no one wants you here.

First off I was an avid apf player, and I was good at that game, and this clown who started this thread was known throughout as the biggest glithcher within the 2k universe. You come on here insulting people, talking about ethics and being sheep, and you could not even follow online game play ethics without cheating.
