Those who can look past just using team playbooks, Robo QB, [insert latest bug here] will eventually learn to except and just play the game as is (or patched if they are blessed with online capabilities).

Offline players may have to deal with robo-QB, but they also have this nice advantage of sliders. I'm noticing it, but haven't messed with the sliders much yet, I'll see tomorrow if I can cut that down a bit.

I disagree , nothing beats playing in a league for me. Not knowing how anybody plays , sort of looking at their stats before the game to get a clue (if you are sad like me) and then actually playing the game. Talking trash before every season , getting to rip on people who talked alot then suck out during the season and lots of other stuff . Just things that I don't get with playing offline. Maybe me and my freinds don't play enough "competitive games"

When I play a buddy I know exactly what he is going to do nearly all the time . Hell.... I can see what he's going to do on the screen if I wanted to lol

None of my friends can come within 21 points of beating me, im like everyone else around here pretty much. I thought i was the best Madden player in the world until i got online and had my ass handed to me enough times.

Who said anything about ranked games online? You don't have to play ranked to play online.

Hence the RANKED GAMES FTL....refering to that portion of online play only.
