Offical Madden 10 Impressions Thread

Limited action with the game thus far, but here's what I know.

-Speed really is a huge factor this year. I toughed out some yards with Marion Barber, but if I ever tried to bounce it outside, I was ganged up on quickly. By contrast, Felix Jones got to the corner very quickly and if I could manage to get outside the linebackers and get a good block on the CB from my receiver, it would be a big gain.

-Pass rush is a bit tougher, even though I was blowing the blockers up when I used DWare.

-A little thing I really like is this goal line fade. I executed it perfectly to Roy Williams and it was easily the most realistic version of the play I've ever seen in a video game.

-The uni situation is a bit of a letdown, but at least they finally nailed the Cowboys' blue throwbacks.

-I need the roster update ASAP. The Cowboys are practically unusable here because many key guys are missing. But many of the ratings for guys on the team are pretty accurate. Potential rating is a little low for some guys, though.

He's ok with it. Hit Austin once and Roy as well. Not something I want to get happy with, though.

He's money on the intermediate stuff.

In 2008 Randy Moss and Cromartie were hands down the best players in the game. They could single handedly take over a game due to their size, speed, and spec catch. I'm saying Fitzgerald is just a flat out beast in this game like they were in 08.

Yeah they made it harder. I mlike it, every play in the NFL isn't a hitstick, its more realistic.

i have yet to play vs a respectable team (ive played browns and lions in franchise) against the cpu, so i cant really answer yet, but i had no difficulties stopping both of those teams on all pro


oh yeah, and if you have a shit quarterback, good luck....rosenfels cant hit anyone longer than 7-8 yards, i was them in our tourney last night and i was 0/15 on anything longer than that. i had to resort to AP, who is a beast though

I'm hoping the slower game speed helps me with user control of manual catching and interceptions. In NCAA I run right by everything or am way off the mark..lol.

faster than the demo, but slower than last years. I'm liking the normal speed option.

I know it's still early and most are doing play now and online games but if their are any Franchise impressions I'd love to hear them!

Well some guy just mopped me online with the cheesy Raiders because he brought some nano I just couldn't beat to save my life. sigh
