So I'm thinking about switching to PS3

Anyways for me the PS3 has a lot of advantages:
*obvious stuff like, wireless connection, blueray and free online play.
*Most of my friends now use PS3's instead of XBOX's
*MLB the show 2010
*I don't play Halo, and Bioshock isn't an exclusive anymore, so there's no XBOX only games that I want.
*Batman: Arkham Asylum has exclusive PS3 content.

The problem is, I'm on a college budget, so I would have to make $400 trading in my 360 with a 20 GB hard drive and 10 games. Can I expect this to happen? Can I expect a price drop on the PS3 anytime soon?

You could probably get $400 on ebay for it. But if you dont wanna sell it on ebay then go to gamecrazy if there are any near. They give you much more than gamestop.

I don't have any issues with PS3. As a matter of fact I have less problems with PS3 online than 360. NXE sucks my dick.

Honestly Goblin it's best two have both consoles but if you can only have one I definitely recommend PS3.

The problem with eBay is that anyone can get a brand new 360 for what 200 bucks. Also who would pay 200 extra bucks for some games. Some of which they may not even want.

WaW is still going for about 35-40.. don't ask why. Madden 08, bout $2. Same with NCAA. GTA is going for 15. CoD4 going for 20-25.

With free online play, included wi-fi, and an included controller charger, my PS3 has practically paid for itself by now. I've had it for 2 years now, so that's close to $200-250 in savings compared to what I would spend with a 360 (assuming I buy a controller charger for 360. The number would be a lot higher if I bought batteries all this time).

Not to mention a blu-ray player costs $200+ by itself. I don't use the blu-ray at all, but if that's the future of movies, I'm already prepared.

From a financial standpoint - if you really look at it - the PS3 is a far better investment. If you look at the money I've saved since I bought it, I basically bought my PS3 for $150. And that number's going to continue to go down the longer I have it since online is free.
