So I'm thinking about switching to PS3

This is what I'm hoping for, but with two major releases coming out in the next two weeks, I don't have a lot of time.

I wouldn't expect a price drop until the Fall. They are now supposedly making about $130 bucks per console they sell at $400, meaning that a price drop probably won't be too far off.

PS3 online is fine. It's hard to justify it being good to an xbox user though who pays for their online service. If I was paying for something, I'd be stubborn to think that something that was free was just as good.

Blu-Ray technology is integrated into some PS3 titles. i.e. Metal Gear Solid 4, etc. It's not just for movies.

Paying for XBL has nothing to do with it being better then PSN. XBL is just better point blank, its more convenient to chat and play with friends. PSN is a pain in the ass when it comes to that. PSN is fine and its gets the job done, but just cause its free doesn't make it better or close.

I had both. Traded in the 360 cuz I simply was not paying to use my own bandwidth to play online games and I really don't like many of the games. The exclusives are weak compared to ps3. I am not getting into a console argument with u man. I'm saying you shouldn't come in here with info that you can't even back up. If Blu-Ray wasn't being used it would have lost to HD-DVD.
