1080 or 720?

I just got a 40 inch Aquos and was wondering if anyone had an opinion one way or the other on which resolution to run on?

I know it's native to 720 but I read that the forced 1080p looks a lot better than 08.

Thoughts?

i play on 1080p when i play at my dads and it looks great. i don't know if it automatically changes it to 720 or not but i would keep it at 1080p just in case

i went 1080p and never looked back (srs), 720p just looks grainy after playing in 1080

you just have to go to visual settings and then uncheck everything except for 1080p

One more thing-what horizontal and vertical sliders do you go with? I like the look of the player models but the foul lines and some of the signs and stuff are jagged, it's bothering the hell out of me at 40 inches.

TV can only run 720, but its only a 32" Aquos so I don't see much jaggies or atleast any to notice. However if I actually had the choice I would agree with the others and say go 1080p and never look back.
