What's with these Bryce Brown super recruits that get added in the offseason?

So, I finish up a national championship with my LSU Tigers, and I'm feeling pretty good about my in season recruiting class. With a 5 star RB already under my belt, I figure I'm gonna just go through the motions and pick up some decent diamond in the rough types.

Then I get this pop up message about new recruits being added to the database, one of which is the most amazing recruit I've ever seen. This guy Frank Cooper, the #1 HB in the country out of Sheboygan, WI has me listed as his top school, so of course I have to go after this guy.

I check the ratings, and I'm now salivating. Not only is Frank 6'2, 215, he also has 95 SPD, 87 AGI, 96 ACC, 74 AWR(!!!), 84 BTK and 95 STA as a true freshman. Good for 88 overall, and #1 on my depth chart.

Gonna have to tell my other 5 star running backs to get lost now, this guy is amazing.

Seems very unrealistic for these guys to just pop up.

What should happen is one and two and sometimes three star recruits should pop up for the off-season and some of the recruits that have been recruited during the season should "with a good senior season" rate much higher...like the 1, 2, and 3 star recruits should become 5-star kids.

Them just showing up out of thin air is kind of lame.

happened all the time with me too

some new 5 Star recruit at RB or WR would pop up and be ridiculously good for their position as a true freshman.

There are rarely recruits that don't have any contact until their senior season ends. And, when I say rarely, I mean rarely.

Them popping up out of no where is just as unrealistic as it gets.

If you are looking for realistic recruiting then it should be possible to contact guys through the mail when they are Sophomores or Juniors. You can't beg for realism on all aspects.
College Hoops for the 2K series did it and it was fuckin amazing.

              Time consuming...but fucking amazing nonetheless.

You could contact them when they were Juniors but you could follow them when they were fishes (if memory serves me right) and it was amazing. I need to pop that game in.

I wish NCAA adds h.s. all star games (at least 4) that you or your asst. coach (for less brownie points). Make them playable, so the user can get a field for that RB you have an eye on.

Recruiting the sophomores and juniors was broken though. They'd rarely ever improve over time. Most of the time they'd be like 5 star juniors then 4 star by their senior year. Or if they were 5 stars at sophomore they'd be down to 3 by senior year. I have NEVER seen them improve.

I had a 3* Freshman Center in the game I contacted as Nevada. Nobody else contacted him till his junior season so he already had me #1. He was 6'8 as a freshman. by his senior year he was 5* and 7'3. Ended up being the #1 recruit, i got him, he came in at 86 OVR. I nutted myself, till he left after his freshman year. Bitch..

Hmmm wow. It seemed like everyone I ever attempted to recruit always got worse, so I just stopped caring about it or even trying it.

i swear to god that ea adds and takes away things on purpose. so that way people keep buying the next game in hopes that they added the missing stuff. in like 20 years they'll put everything together and have a game that gets an 11 out of 10
