    Speed Formula

Are you saying that a DT with a speed of 85 isnt as fast as a WR with a speed of 85?

Wes Welker has an 86 speed rating, but he still flies like a mfer.

No it isn't, how fast a player is on the field is several stats combined, not just speed.

Speed is his top speed (peak)
Acceleration (which matters most as far as overall speed) is how fast a player goes from a dead stop to to pretty fast to top speed. this explains why wes welker is so quick and all over the field
Agility this has to do with a players and his ability to maneuver around the field in terms of change of direction or slight change of direction (a receiver and his cuts)

all three are usually correlated to the same in that they are within 10 or so points of each other
Welker has 86 spd and 99 accl 95 agility

which proves speed is not the be all end all that accl really really matters especially with quick plays

Im not sure if height/ weight make any difference though or if the ratings guys give them a certain speed/acc/agi based off their real life height weight

"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.
