Post their review, I haven't seen it. 7.5 is a joke, look at everyone else's compared to theirs.

I was just like wow,was this guy playing the same game everyone else is playing? They just lost a ton of credibility to me.These guys gave NCAA 10 an 8,hell they even gave Madden 09 an 8,and that game was horrible.
I don't know where everyone's having these interception issues, mine have been fine. I just had Matt Ryan torch me for 466 and 4 touchdowns with no picks:PS.P.Q.A.

Gamespot reviewers are a collection of idiots.
This game is not perfect, but it's far from a 7.5.
Personally, I would give it a 9.0 or 9.1.
Again, it's not perfect, but it's light years ahead of every previous next-gen Madden.
Frankly, Gamespot reviewers get paid what they deserve ... which I suspect is nothing or the odd free game.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

...7.5 is a good score. You guys are too generous with the high scores. ESPN 2K5 is a 9 caliber game. Madden 09 was a 4-5 caliber game.
Personally, I would give it a 9.0 or 9.1.Comment

Although, I haven't played the game yet... take a look at some of games that are around 7.5. You tell me whether you think Madden10 deserves to be grouped in with some of these shithole games.

When was the last time you saw a game get anything lower than a 4? It had to be a damn near abysmal game. I think the most recent terribly low rated game was Damnation.
The scale isn't stretched. Its supposed to be a 1-10 scale. But its more like a 6-10 scale. With all these shitty decimals that I still don't understand. And do these sites breakdown HOW they come to this score? What factors into a game getting a 9 or 9.1?
I cant give a score for Madden having not played it. But everyone seems to say the same thing. 8, 8.5, 9. And within a few days of getting the game. Most review sites, although I still dont think they get enough time with the game before reviewing, have the game a couple weeks before release. And you've come to a score within a day? Don't expect any credibility from me.
I've posted my scale before...I'll do it again I guess:
10-.Perfect(in a video game sense) Masterpiece, INSTANT classic.
9-GREAT game. As close to perfect as you're going to see in the game.
8-Very Good game. Only 1-3 things prevent it from being a great game.
7-Good game/Above average. Better than previous versions or competitors.
6-Average game. Doesn't offer much innovation to set itself from any game similar.
5-Below average game.
4-Bad game.
3, 2, 1-AWFUL game. NOTHING done right, poor execution all around.Last edited by Tengo Juego; 08-13-2009, 04:51 AM.Comment

they gave ncaa a 8 (great) and madden a 7.5 (good)
i havnt played madden except the 5 min demo, but watching all these videos of the gameplay i can tell a 7.5 is a worthy score.
i read peoples opinions and they score it well because the graphics are great and the new presentation things like extra point and cut scenes in the game. Online franchise and coop
but then the same people post about the bad things and its all gameplay related....u all know these issues already.
So i think about those good things ....extra point will wear out after 3 weeks in the season due to its utter stupidity. Listening to some robotic voice show highlights of an XP is not worth my time. The in game presentation is nice and all, but its not engaging like u saw in APF2k8 or NFL2K5. Most of what i saw was placed in spots not related to the situation. And the QB walking to the LOS cutscene was being skipped everytime in the demo...so thats not a big deal
Online franchise should be called online leagues because thats all it is. No FA or Cap is a huge let down and kind of defeats the point of playing franchise mode. Its about as lame as APF2k8 only having season mode. Played as a 1 season league, OF is a great thing for people who want to be in leagues.
Offline franchise sounds like its great. Its hard to say because until players get more into it and find flaws, we wont know how it is. But judging from the stuff killgod has been posting, its sounds like a great mode and great logic in the off season, not perfect, but still great.
So what it then comes down to for me is gameplay on the field. I still feel that this game, on the field plays basically the same as ncaa. Turn up maddens speed to normal or fast and it will feel just like ncaa. The demo and all the videos show this comparison. Look at things like the Pass blocking, the tackles, the recievers having their legs cut from under them. the run game and run blocking. The DB playing the ball, The overall feel of the game is basically the same as ncaa except that madden seems to have alot of fucked up little things that occur during the gameplay. And these things are not isolated to being irrelivent in the game. They are game changing moments at the end of a half or end of the game that decides the outcome.
I dont know about you guys, but if im down by 3 and i lose a game while sending out the FG unit because the game decided not to stop the clock with 4 seconds left when you ran out of bounds, im gonna be pissed. Imagine this happening in a league game.....the list of flaws goes way beyond that in terms of on field play
People are so desperate for NFL action and have no other options that they are willing to overlook things like that make the game as fun as possible. But the reviewers and community people are all saying this game has the same old issues as before.....but its moving in the right direction.....after 4 fucking years its moving in the right direction
i get burned by madden every year and will probably have it happen again....i buy it and after 2 weeks end up hating it and regretting it.....the only thing making me win the battle not to buy it is that i am loving ncaa this yearComment

After looking at stats of these players from other teams in the Franchise mode, it becomes apparent that there are two parts to this problem. The first is that some players, like Tom Brady, are just that good and should probably win such awards, but the second is far more devious: stats don't seem to scale properly for five-minute quarters. In other words, when the computer plays its games, those stats are designed to reflect full quarters, or at the very least, they reflect a simulation of a "full" game. They aren't representative of truncated quarters where there simply isn't as much time to wrack up as many yards, completions, sacks, or touchdowns as the stats suggest.
What a moron. If you think your stats are low, then up the quarter length.Comment

yeah i didnt understand some of his gripes. Like this one for example....he is very misleading to people because he fails to mention the accelerated clock feature which allows people to play 12-15 min Quarters to get the proper statsComment
-
Yeah, or just playing 7-8 minute quarters which is what I usually do. Although I think I might try out the 15 min 25 accelerated clock as most are saying it gives good stats.Comment
