Coach krul's Detroit Lions would meet against Coach Buddha's Cincinnati Bengals. krul beat Buddha's brother last night pretty bad with the Baltimore Ravens defeating Coach Boody's Carolina Panthers 41-7. Coach Buddha dedicates this game to Boody as revenge. Some trash talk has taken place before this game between the 2 good friends, as Coach krul has apologized in advance to what is about to happen to Coach Buddha.
At Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, Detroit would win the toss and elect to kick it off giving Coach Buddha's offense the first opportunity to put points on the board. On 3rd and 4, Carson Palmer would throw his first pick of the game, right to Ernie Sims as the Lions defense essentially forced the Bungles to a 3 and out.
Starting from the Bengals 36 yard line, Stafford would go to hand the ball off to Kevin Smith but the rookie from USC, LB Ray Maulauga would run all the way in and drag Stafford from behind. Stafford was slow to get up suffering abdominal strains, as Culpepper would come in on the 2nd play of the game. On 3rd and 10, Culpepper would zing a 1st down pass to Mr. Reliable, Dennis Northcutt. A few plays later, Kevin Smith would pound it in for a 1 yard touchdown. But holding would be called as it would put the Lions back on their 11. Detroit would end up kicking the field goal after 3 straight incompletions. 3-0 Detroit.
After converting a 1st down next drive, Carson Palmer would throw another pick, this time to MLB Larry Foote giving his offense the ball at the Bungles 48 yard line. Facing a 4th and 1 on Cincinnati's 39 yard line, Jason Hanson would come out to attempt a 56 yard field goal as it split the uprights just barely! Jason Hanson has only missed 1 field goal so far this season! 6-0 Detroit.
Finally the Bengals and Palmer would get on their game at the start of the 2nd quarter moving all the way down to the Lions 17 in just a few plays. Coach krul's defense would give up a huge 3rd and 14 to Chad Ocho Cinco on a nice 21 yard touchdown pass to give the Bengals the lead, 7-6.
Following drive, Culpepper would throw a pick on the 1st play of the drive. Bengals ball on Lions 18 yard line. Luckily for Detroit, they would hold the Bengals to a field goal as the score would be 10-6 Cincinnati with 3 minutes remaining in the half.
Right before halftime, Carson Palmer would fine Chad Ocho Cinco for another touchdown, this one a 10 yard WR screen that would put the Bengals up 17-6 going into halftime over the Lions. Perhaps Coach krul would have to eat the words he said before the game.
Matthew Stafford would be back in the 2nd half as him and his Lions offense would take the field at the start of the 2nd half looking to put some points on the board once again...preferrably a touchdown. They would get neither though, having to punt after a quick 3 and out.
The Bengals wouldn't go into conservative mode either as they passed a good amount their next drive, getting them to the Lions 39 before punting the ball back to the Lions offense.
Starting from their 20, Stafford would have to get something going for his offense on this drive....he wouldn't, interception as frustration begins to sit in for Coach krul and the Lions.
Following their pick, Palmer would throw his 3rd interception to FS Daniel Bullocks to give his offense the ball back on their 42 with a little over a minute left in the 3rd. Stafford would finally make some good throws getting back into the groove as the Lions started the 4th quarter on the Bengals 11 yard line. 3rd and 7 now, a hard throw to Megatron in the endzone who would catch it...out of bounds. The Lions kicked the field goal bringing them down by 8 now. 17-9 Bengals.
The Lions defense would come up big again as they forced a quick 3 and out to give their offense the ball back at their 30 with 4:30 left. 2 plays later, Stafford would find Calvin deep to put them on the Bengals 22 yard line. Cincinnati stops Detroit's offense in time again, forcing another field goal. 17-12 Bengals with 2:40 left in the game.
Detroit would kick it off as Chatman would fumble! Derrick Williams would scoop it up and return it for a touchdown, but wait...a clipping call on Detroit would bring the TD back and put the Lions on the Bengals 42 instead. Twice now Detroit would score a touchdown only to have it called back on a penalty. 2 plays later, Stafford would throw as Coach krul says something on the sideline we aren't allowed to say. On 3rd and 1 with the game on the line, Detroit's defense would hold just barely as their offense would get one last shot with no timeouts left and 1:42 on the clock.
Having a choice couple of words for his QB before sending him back on the field at their own 25 yard line needing a touchdown. A pass to Maurice Morris as he would break a tackle before fumbling, Bengals recover. Game over. 17-12 Bengals as Coach krul quickly stormed off the field after throwing his headset before any reporters could ask him a thing.
Good Game Buddha.

Not even being able to wait too long, Coach krul requested a rematch against Coach Buddha who just defeated his Lions with the Bungles 17-12 in a controversial game. This time Coach krul would return to Ford Field where his Lions are 9-1 and on a 9 game winning streak at home. Their only loss suffered in Coach krul's very first game against Houtz's Miami Dolphins.
Well Coach Buddha would try to keep his magic going as he would bring an even tougher opponent this time around, the San Diego Chargers. The Lions would win the toss and elect to kickoff to start the game.
Phillip Rivers and the rest of the offense would step onto the field at their 26 yard line. He would move his offense relatively well down the field to the Lions 33 yard line before kicking the field goal to give them the early 3-0 lead.
Now Stafford and company would step out onto the field for the first time as would like to forget his last game against Coach Buddha. He would appear to have forgotten about it as he drove his offense down to the Chargers 39 yard line...and then he would remember again as he overthrew Bryant Johnson as Quentin Jammer would pick it off, break a tackle, and run it back for a touchdown. 10-0 San Diego heading into the 2nd quarter.
Stafford being so hard to read as he is, shows his side of brilliance on the next drive moving his Lions right back in San Diego's territory at their 6 yard line like nothing ever happened. Then on 3rd and goal at their 3, Merriman would sack Stafford forcing them to kick the field goal as Detroit still can't score a touchdown against Coach Buddha. 10-3 Chargers.
Detroit's defense would hold on their 43 yard line forcing the Chargers to punt for a touchback. Stafford from his own 20, would lead his Lions to midfield with 13 seconds left and 1 timeout. Then another nice 15 yard pass to Dennis Northcutt to put Detroit at the Chargers 35 yard line as Jason Hanson booted through a 52 yard kick. 10-6 Chargers.
Detroit's offense would stumble throwing an interception to Shawn Merriman who would take it back for a touchdown. 17-6 Bolts. Stafford would come back throwing deep next drive getting Detroit to San Diego's 33 yard line in 2 plays. Detroit looking like they completely as Stafford throws another pick, whoopty do.
Coach krul would essentially give up towards the end of the 3rd quarter as Derrick Williams would fumble a punt return for a touchdown. 24-6 Chargers. Out of sheer frustration Coach krul would sit down on the bench with his headset off watching the game.
Final score, 34-6 Chargers.Last edited by krulmichael; 08-27-2009, 07:36 PM.

Coach krul Walks Away From Detroit?
Detroit, Michigan (AP) - There have been several reports over the last few hours that Detroit Lions Coach krul has left town since his recent tough losses to Cincinnati & San Diego.
Several Lions players have said they haven't seen krul since the Lions/Chargers post-game in which good friend Coach Buddha's San Diego Chargers demolished krul's Lions 34-6 at Ford Field bringing a 9-game home streak to a sudden hault.
Matthew Stafford, rookie quarterback of the Lions had this to say on Coach krul's disappearance, "Not exactly sure what's going on. We (Lions players) all know the same thing you (the media/fans) know...which isn't much at all. At this point in time though, we are confident that our coach will return and that he's probably just taking a well deserved few days off and he'll be back soon enough."
Very little is known at this point in time, aside from the fact that Coach krul has gone MIA from Detroit. We will keep you posted as more info becomes known.Last edited by krulmichael; 08-27-2009, 07:56 PM.

There's been a Coach krul sighting! He's in...Arizona! That's right folks, Coach krul is coaching the Arizona Cardinals today, going up against Coach Wildcard's New York Giants. This will be the first time the two have played against each other in a couple of years.
Arizona would win the coin toss and elect to kick it off as Eli Manning and the Giants would start on their 27 yard line. Low and behold, the 1st play of the game would be Eli Manning throwing an interception to LB Clark Haggans who would take it back for a touchdown. This would be Coach krul's first touchdown in 8 quarters! 7-0 Cardinals.
Very first play of the next drive, Brandon Jacobs would fumble the ball as a HUGE pile formed as the G-Men would luckily come out with it. Couple of plays later and Eli would throw another pick six, this time to Pro Bowl SS Addrian Wilson who would take it back 54 yards untouched for another touchdown. 14-0 Arizona.
Eli would strike back next drive getting his team to midfield in one pass. They would move down the field a little more before Arizona's defense tightened up forcing a 41 yard field goal that would put New York on the board. 14-3 Cards.
Kurt Warner and the Cards offense would step onto the field for the first time in the game with 43 seconds remaining in the 1st at the 30 yard line. Boy would they look sharp as after a couple nice runs from Tim Hightower, Warner would throw a screen pass to WR Anquan Bolden who would dodge and defender and turn up field 52 yards for a touchdown! 21-3 Arizona.
A nice kick return by Ahmad Bradshaw would put the G-Men on their 42 yard line. Then a nice 20 yard pass to rookie WR Hakim Nicks that would put them in Cards territory. It would be for nothing though as a pass to Steve Smith would result in him getting speared by FS Antrell Rolle who would force a fumble AND recover it in the pile. Cardinals ball. After getting into New York territory, Kurt Warner would make his first mistake of the game throwing an interception on a nice read by the linebacker. No worries though Arizona fans, Eli would throw another interception for a touchdown (that's 4 now) as Rodgers-Cromartie came up with the pick this time running it back 67 yards. 28-3 Arizona. Just when you thought it was done for halftime...with 15 seconds left on the clock, on their own 8 yard line, Arizona would run a simple Power O to Chris "Beanie" Wells, who takes it up the hole, cuts outside, running down the sidelines 88 yards touchdown! 35-3 Cards.
But wait, there's more, 1st play of the 2nd half would be a 57 yard rush by Beanie again for a touchdown! 42-3 Arizona. Coach krul would send out the 2nd stringers next offensive possession and for the remainder of the game as Arizona would come out on top big over Coach Wildcard, -.

The final round of the VSN Madden 10 Kickoff Tourney featured Coach krul & Coach QuietStorm. The two have never faced each other before. The real question was would Coach krul return to his Detroit Lions for this tourney game as he's gotten this far with the Lions. The answer to that....he's back! Coach krul would bring his Detroit Lions to the capital, Washington D.C. to play Coach QuietStorm's Washington Redskins.
Detroit would win the coin toss and elect to kick the ball off to start the game off. Jason Campbell would get his Skins into Detroit territory early after a couple of quick passes here and there and some nice runs by Clinton Portis. 1st & 10 from the Lions 12 yard line as Detroit's defense just had no answers on this first drive. 3rd and 4 now from the 6 yard line as Detroit defense steps up just at the nick of time holding Portis to 3 yards. Washington would kick the field goal on 4th and 1 making the score 3-0 early Skins.
Starting from their 27, Matthew Stafford would come out onto the field for the Lions offense. Handing it off to HB Kevin Smith for a 9 yard pickup to start their drive off. They would have success getting to midfield before having to punt the ball to the Skins own 12 yard line. 1st play of the drive as Campbell would make a bad throw as the ball shoulda been picked by rookie SS Louis Delmas who couldn't hold on to the ball, incomplete. After getting a 1st down, Campbell would dump the ball off to Portis on a screen in which LB Julian Peterson would see all the way laying a big hit on Portis, forcing the ball loose. Phillip Buchanon would recover it for a touchdown! 7-3 Lions.
Detroit's lead wouldn't last long however as DeAngelo Hall returned the following kickoff for a 105 yards on a fantastic return! 10-7 Washington. The Redskins defense would force a quick 3 and out on the next drive giving their offense the ball back on their 29 with 1:34 left in the half and all 3 timeouts remaining. Detroit's defense would hold however as the teams went into the lockerroom at halftime, 10-3 Washington.
The Lions would start the second half with the football at their own 24 yard line. Like they did in the first half, Washington's defense would still hold strong, forcing another 3 and out. Detroit's defense would come up with a whacky interception next drive as DT Shaun Smith would catch the ball with his leg as it would be safe to say the Lions caught a break on this turnover. Stafford and company would finally be in Redskins territory at their 27 yard line. Again though, they wouldn't be able to do anything as they would settle with the field goal to tie the game up. 10-10.
Thankfully for Detroit, they would stop Hall at the Skins 31 next kickoff. Jason Campbell would once again get his offense moving into Lions territory heading into the 4th quarter getting them to the 29 yard line. 3rd and 6 on the 25 as Detroit's defense would face a big 3rd down here, but Portis would get just enough yards on the carry to move the chains. Next play though, Detroit would play a zone blitz catching Campbell off guard as Larry Foote would snag a pass out of the air for the interception! Detroit's ball at their 9 yard line with around 3 minutes left in the game. Couple of nice plays and the Lions would get to their 35 at the two minute warning. Facing a 3rd and 9 now, Stafford would drop back and throw a bullet to WR Dennis Northcutt who was wide open as the ball would hit his hands and dropped! What would have been a first down would end up being a punt.
From their 39 yard line, Clinton Portis would run for 14 yards putting his offense in Detroit territory once more. Until the next play when Larry Foote would tackle Portis behind the line for a loss of 4 yards. Then a 7 yard scramble for Campbell. 3rd and 5 now on Detroit's 42 with the clock at 40 seconds. Campbell would be under pressure and get hit as he's throwing as Jordon Dizon would pick it off! Next play though, payback for the cheap pick earlier, DE Andre Carter would jump what seemed like 10 feet in the air to pick off a wide open Northcutt. With 8 seconds on the Lions 34 yard line, the Skins would come out to attempt the game winning field goal...the kick was up...right down the middle.....but just short! No Good! No Good! What a Championship game! As the game would head into overtime with the Skins winning the coin toss and receiving it first.
Starting from their 27 now, Campbell would bring his offense on the field once more. Detroit would send some pressure on 2nd down forcing the sack. 3rd and 11 now, Campbell would throw it deep over the middle...INTERCEPTION! Daniel Bullocks picked it off at midfield! Which offense would snap out of it first?! Not Detroit's as Stafford would throw another pick to DeAngelo Hall. Skins ball at their 32. A big playaction pass to Santana Moss would put the Redskins on the Lions 39 yard line now as their defense would have to come up with another big stop to stay alive. Wouldn't happen though as Washington would run it down Detroit's throat. Finally, on 4th and 3 from their 19, Shaun Suisham would connect on the 36 yard field goal to win the game and the Madden 10 Kickoff Tourney in overtime by the final score of 13-10 Washington.
Great Game QuietStorm!

Detroit Does No Wrong In 37-10 Victory Over Bears
Detroit Celebrates After One Of Their Many Touchdowns
Box Score

Week 4 would be a big game for the NFC North as Coach krul's Detroit Lions (2-1) would battle it out with Coach zack54attack's Chicago Bears (2-1) for early NFC North supremecy. This would be the first meeting between these 2 coaches this season. Detroit would head on the road for the 2nd time this season, going down to Soldier Field on a cool day in Chicago.
Da Bears would win the toss and elect to kickoff as the Detroit Lions would take it to their 34 yard line. Matthew Stafford and company would head onto the field for the first time as a handoff to the right to HB Kevin Smith for a big gain putting the Lions on Chicago's 30 yard line! Several plays later and as Detroit has been all season long, they would struggle to score a touchdown in Bears territory kicking a field goal. 3-0 Lions.
Jay Cutler and his Bears would move down the field as well, getting all the way to Detroit's 21 yard line before they would suffer the same fate as Detroit's offense. A 38 yard field goal by Robbie Gould would tie the game all up. Starting from their own 13 next drive due to a holding penalty on the kickoff, Stafford would fake it off to Kevin Smith before throwing a perfect pass to Calvin Johnson for a 87 yard touchdown on the first play of the drive before the end of the 1st quarter! 10-3 Detroit.
After picking up a quick first down, Chicago would face a long 3rd and 24 after a Detroit sack. The Lions defense would try and blitz Cutler, but he would throw it to Matt Forte who would make a move and follow his blocker for the first down. Luckily it wouldn't hurt the Lions too much as they'd force a punt right after giving their offense the ball back at their own 20 after the touchback.
Detroit's offense would keep rolling single handedly on this drive by Kevin Smith who would move his offense up the field 38 yards before Maurice Morris would come in for a play, take the handoff, and finish the 80 yard drive with a 43 yard touchdown run, breaking a 3-man gang tackle! 17-3 Lions.
Cutler would strike back next drive with a long pass to WR Johnny Knox putting them right back in Detroit territory, on their 26 yard line at the 2 minute warning. Forte would finish off their drive with a 15 yard touchdown run with 1:38 left in the first half. 17-10 Lions. It would only take 2 plays for the Lions next drive as Stafford would throw a deep post pattern to Megatron for a 79 yard touchdown! 24-10 Lions. Shortly after, on a 3rd and 10 from their territory, instead of running the clock out, Cutler would take a chance throwing a deep pass that would be picked off by Phillip Buchanon who would make a few moves before running it back for the touchdown! 31-10 Detroit at halftime.
Chicago would get the ball to start off the second half needing to turn things around quickly to still have a shot in this game. The Lions defense would come up with a big stop though, forcing Chicago to punt on 4th and 1 giving their offense the ball back on their 30. Stafford's offense would move down the field very methodically wasting some clock while they were at it. Finding themselves on the Bears 16 yard line, Detroit would throw a fade up to Calvin in the corner who would come down with it, but only one foot in bounds as the refs ruled it an incomplete pass! The Lions settled for a field goal, extending their lead some more. 34-10 Detroit late in the 3rd.
Detroit would tack on another field goal before the game was over as they dominated the Bears to take over early in the season as the NFC North leaders. The final score at Soldier Field would be 37-10 Lions as they go to 3-1 as Chicago falls to .500 at 2-2.
Good Game zack54attack. I'm sure you'll be ready in our second encounter this year.
