        Game 4

        Bomberooski: Seahawks
        russ1724: Falcons

        Box Score:
Hasselbeck Struggles but 'Hawks D Bails Him Out.

It was an interesting outing for Matt Hasselbeck. A roller coaster of highs and lows. Hasselbeck led the Seahawks offense deep downfield on numerous occassions racking up 240 yards passing on 15-23 passes. But 3 interceptions put a damper on his day including one to Chris Houston who took it 98 yards the other way for the Falcons only touchdown of the day. After the 2nd interception for the Seahawks the run game was called on to help out. Julius Jones got the majority of the carries with 11 attempts for 42 yards but the highlight on the ground for the Seahawks was an 18 yard touchdown run for Justin Forsett who bounced one to the outside and cut in and out of a few defenders on his way into the endzone.
The Seahawks defense bounced back to normal form after their last game limiting the Falcons to only 76 yards of total offense. Matt Ryan ended the day going 7-16 for 53 yards and threw 3 interceptions including a back breaker to Josh Wilson that he took 52 yards for a touchdown as time expired in the first half giving the Seahawks a 20-7 lead. Michael Turner was a non-factor getting the ball only 7 times for only 16 yards.

                Game 5

                OOBL: Raiders

                Box Score:
                Demoralized.

OnlyOneBeerLeft and the Raiders came, saw and conquered in a 24-0 rout over the pathetic Seahawks. Both the offense and defense for Seattle showed up to play. Matt Hasselbeck continued his sudden woes throwing 3 interceptions and no td's to go along with 98 yards. The ground attack wouldn't help as Julius Jones was the only HB to get any yardage compiling 21 yards on 7 carries. This was the first game in which the Seahawks have not scored a point so far this season and their first home loss of the year.
The Raiders meanwhile struck early on a drive that was kept alive by a HUGE 45 yard run and catch by Darrius Heyward-Bey breaking 2 tackles to get over the first down marker. That play set up an eventual goaline plunge from FB Lorenzo Neal. That was really all the Raiders would need but Darren McFadden wanted to make sure he made his mark on the Seahawks. He led the team with receiving yards, 82, and posted 107 yards on the ground. McFadden had a td both rushing and receiving. Defensively the Raiders were at their top form, getting constant pressure on Hasselbeck and forcing 3 turnovers all of which were interceptions.
The Seahawks fall to 3-2 and will look to keep the team above .500 later tonight.

                    Bomberooski: Seahawks

Jason Elam's Game Winner Snatches Away a Seahawks Win.

NOOOOOOOOOOO. Jason Elams field goal as time expired handed the Seahawks a second straight loss and put a year that started out real hot on the brink of falling off the map. Julius Jones was the shining star for the Seahawks rushing for 114 yards, his first 100+ game of the year, and 2 touchdowns. Matt Hasselbeck on the other hand saw his slump continue. Hasselbeck did throw one touchdown to TJ Houshmanzadeh, his first of the season, but threw 2 more interceptions. One of those picks was taken to the house by John Abraham to start the 3rd quarter. That play was probably the play that cost the Seahawks the game.

It looks like the quick start Seahawks may have been a flash in the pan as they now sit with a record of 3-3. Matt Hasselbeck is going to have to make better decisions and tone down the picks if the 'Hawks want to play +.500 ball this year.

Seahawks Drop Third Straight. Second Straight Loss At The Buzzer.

In what is certain to be one of the bigger rivals for coach Bomberooski this season, Miggyfan99, it once again came down to poor decision making by the quarterback of the Seahawks. Although Matt Hasselbeck threw 3 TD's it will be the 3 INT's that he threw including one inside the redzone which negated a sure field goal that will be remembered. After what started out as a game looking to be a shootout, touchdowns on the first 3 drives of the games, both defenses stepped up and started slowing down the opposing offense. The momentum seemed to swing from the Dolphins to the Seahawks at the end of the half when Nate Burleson magically caught a touchdown pass in double coverage that tied the game up with Seattle receiving the opening kick in the 2nd half. Seattle was unable to gain the lead though to start the half as both teams put 0's on the scoreboard in the 3rd. A long grind it out drive by Hasselbeck to start the 4th quarter gave Seattle the lead on a 1 yard touchdown pass to TE John Carlson who is having a Pro Bowl season for the Seahawks. That lead was short lived as on the 1st play of the very next drive Pat White connected on a 65 yard play action pass to Tedd Ginn Jr, a touchdown that would eventually send the game to Overtime. In the extra frame the Dolphins needed only one possession to take the ball deep into Seahawk territory where Carpenter kicked the 26 yard game winning field goal.

Seattle's offense was led by WR Deion Branch who had 97 yards and 1 TD on 5 catches. The ground game never really took off as Julius Jones just couldn't find holes to bust open the big run. His day ended with 45 yards on 18 carries.

The Seahawks have found themselves losers of 3 in a row with the last 2 games coming down to the wire and the Seattle defense giving up game winning field goals both times. It's the first time this year that Bomberooski's Seahawks have been below .500 something that could remain if the team keeps making dumb offensive decisions.

7 Interceptions for Hasselbeck Seals The Deal

In what is sure to be his worst performance of the season Matt Hasselbeck and his 15.8 QB rating went 9-23 with 7 interceptions and 0 td's. In a game that featured the Home Seahawks (bomberooski) vs the Away Seahawks (://franchise) the Away 'Hawks proved to be the better all around team. Away Julius Jones was the star of the day rushing for 118 yards and a td in what proved to be all the A. Seahawks needed to lock up a pitiful game.

So pitiful it's not worth a write up. I mean I threw SEVEN interceptions!!!

                        Good game ://franchise.

5 INT's for Hasselbeck. 5 Losses in a Row for Seattle.

The Seattle Seahawks continued in their losing ways this time falling to the very balanced attack of the New Orleans Saints. Although offensively the Saints only mustered up 59 more yards than Seattle it was the turnover game that struck again. Matt Hasselbeck ended the afternoon going 16-26 for 176 yards, 0 TD's and 5 interceptions. Meanwhile Drew Brees was very effective throwing the pigskin completing 14 of his 17 attempts for 188 yards, 3TD and 2 INT's (one to Marcus Trufant and one to Leroy Hill). Hasselbeck's turnover issue is beyond a problem now and if it doesn't get fixed it could very well mean that Seattle will not win another game this entire season.

On the ground the Seahawks were uneffective moving the ball. Julius Jones carried 9 times for 17 yards. TJ Duckett three times for 4 yards. Justin Forsett was stopped for no gain on his one carry. The Saints run game, although not stellar, was good enough to consitently move the chains. Pierre Thomas got the majority of the carries picking up 36 yards on 19 carries. Backup Mike Bell had a great 4th quarter going for 29 yards on his 8 carries.

Seattle finds themselves in a major funk and the frustration is starting to show. A few more losses and it will be very likely to see Seneca Wallace get some starts while Hasselbeck clears his mind.

In An Awkwardly Ended Game Julius Jones Lights Up The Field.

"That was weird," is what Matt Hasselbeck said about the ending of the Seahawks 4 win of the year. In what proved to be the strangest ending to a game this season the Jacksonville Jaguars simply asked permission to leave the stadium after making a field goal with 1:47 to go in the 3rd quarter.

"We'll take the win but it would've been nice to have finished the game," continued Hasselbeck. Of course he was referring to the fact that this Seahawks offense that had been nothing short of terrible looked to finally be ironing out their issues. Hasselbeck was 6-8 for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns, both to Deion Branch. More importantly he didn't throw an interception. Julius Jones stole the show though rushing 8 times for 90 yards and a score.

Defensively the Seahawks started confused but settled down after Jacksonville's first score.

"Gerrard would drop back and immediately just start running around in the backfield. Normally quarterbacks don't do that and we weren't coached up to stop it" said Cory Redding who had an interception that he returned for a touchdown on a play in which CB Ken Lucas blitzed and hit a scrambling Gerrard while he was throwing. Coach Bomberooski's defensive adjustments to the wacky Jacksonville defense proved to secure the win for Seattle who improves to 4-6 and more importantly snapped their 5 game losing streak.
