    Hitstick fumbles are ridiculous

Just played an online game and he hitsticked me about 4-5 times total. 3 of them resulted in fumbles. 2 of them occurred when I was in the redzone and two of them were ran back for a touchdown. Meh at Madden...

In the Madden Manual (For the PS3) page 4, Under the Section Running With The Ball
if you press R1 you "protect the ball"

i don't know if that helps

If you play realistically, the game will be realistic
That made me lol.. But its true

Yea, the R1 (for us PS3 guys) button is your friend for sure. I've been using it since 07. Sometimes it's not always the smart thing to go for the big play.

especially if you have a top flight RB with shady hands like Run DMC. Protect the rock

hitstick themselves are ridiculus. Im tired of seeing people be able to do it every play. Thats not how it works in the nfl....you dont see a killshot attempted and executed with success every play.

I got hits ticked about 3 times verse this guy McGriff last night that normally would have been fumbles but protected the ball so no fumbles occurred. Sounds like you need to work on the detailed elements of the game to me, but it does happen. Just bad luck!

                  This.
So, metaphorically speaking, our physiology basically has the universe mapped out and you're thinking it needs to be taught addition & subtraction.

I shouldn't need to protect the ball every play when I'm carrying with LT who's carrying is pretty good.

Also yeah it is pretty unrealistic to get a hit stick kind of hit almost every play.

This. I protect the ball more often than I do a juke/spin.

I put it to 45 and haven't seen a fumble is 2 games. (offline)
No slider adjustments online. Online is also at normal speed so it takes quicker reaction time to avoid those hit sticks ;)

Actually, I don't even think there is a fumble slider. Maybe there is but I was thinking of the injury slider.

                            Carry on
