Any Success With the Deep Ball?

I've had my fair share of success with the deep ball. Then again, Stafford's got quite the arm and it helps to have a guy like Calvin, but I've gotten Dennis Northcutt deep quite a few times as well. So it's certainly possible.

same here. I have success with every other route besides the streaks. Try throwing a pump fake in there to shed the corner.

The deep accuracy really plays a role, try Jay Cutler and you'll see the difference.

I've been playing online only (All Madden) but I really haven't found it all that difficult.

It's all about timing and ball placement though. Depends on your QB's deep ball accuracy, height of your WR, and separation between him and the corner (obviously).

I've also been playing with the Lions so maybe it's me. I'm strictly speaking of the streak passes here. I have gotten Northcutt and Calvin free on deep posts but never just beating the guy one on one. Stafford gets it there, just seems like there is very little separation.

Yeah I've noticed that posts and fades/flag, and deeper out routes are much easier to complete for big gains than the streak.

I haven't quite gotten the streak down yet but I've only played with Oakland so they don't have the QB or receivers to get that down.

I can not catch anything on streaks with Andre Johnson, but he catches any other route I run him on.

I got Holmes on a playaction for 58 yards against the Panthers for a TD an another occasion for 72 yards.

try to reduce sliders or work on throwing less of a lob and time ur throw right when the reciever gets a step.

Yup, its all about hitting your receiver right when he makes his break. Whether it be the slant on a post route or if he just burns by the corner. You can't hesitate, just throw it.

brady quinn is not so accurate deep....but he sure can make some pretty passes that are mid and short range. I threw it to Edwards on a beautiful wheel route to the end zone from about 15 yards out. to lay it up there with that touch was a thing of beauty.....of course it got picked off and ran back for a TD, but it was still a nice pass

im glad they adjusted this.. in previous madden games it was way too easy to complete the deep ball

If I can get single coverage then I can hit Driver and Jennings with a pretty good percentage on the deep ball.

Yeah, but the over the shoulder catch attempts are FTL. I hate seeing a WR look over his left shoulder to catch a ball thrown to his inside shoulder.

Roy Williams is not that fast, but I've had some success with him when he's one on one on a streak.

I LOVE hitting him in the corner of the end zone. So cool.

I dont think the Pump fake is in Madden, but ive had success with Roy Williams too, Try user catching and try leading it in front of the receiver. I dont get it all the time but i have good success when i do.
