PS3 connection is crap

Ok, so I've tried wireless, wired, 2 different modems (different houses) and nothing. Suddenly I'm getting red bars as my connection.

BUT I just realized that their is a system update that is available. Any chance this will help. If not are their any trouble shooting techniques?

I don't think the Firmware is out yet, it's been announced but it hasn't launched yet. But yea, I've had some problems with Madden Online this year. Lot of freezing and some disconnect errors. Luckily only one of those disconnect errors happened during a game.

Oh damn, that came out awhile back, lol. That may be the reason you're getting dc'ed so much. Firmware 3.0 should be coming out shortly as well.

Ditto. I have seen one second of lag or a disconnect so far.

Of course I've just doomed myself ... but here's hoping not.

Make sure to turn "accelerated presentation" on when you issue a game invite. I swear that might be a reason why it's been so good this year.
