Madden 10 Promotes Parody or am I Just Getting Old?

What helped me a lot was the Spyder sim thread up top. I'm kind of a casual gamer who doesn't really have time to constantly play or read through a bunch of posts for tips, but his thread is fairly easy to read and gives you some good tips.

I think they might of did the dropped user picks on purpose. For what reason, I don't know. I'm sick of people getting rewarded for stupid decisions.

I should know this shit...I teach 5th grade. My kids would have a field day with this. They sit there like zombies for 2 hours but the second I make one little mistake, like a spelling mistake, all of the sudden they're all fucking literary and grammar professors calling me out on it.

Now I suck at madden...I'm old...and apparently stupid too. Great.

I'm agreeing with you on this one. I've had countless user picks that I've flat out dropped, while (for example) Haloti Ngata had two interceptions against me last night in a GGML game (cpu controlled).

I've seen countless ridiculous CPU interceptions by average players who don't use stick skills, and then when I jump the route and go to user pick it its *CLUNK* off the hands. The only person I've seen user pick everything was AJay.

My game last year was to be a better stick skill player, by getting more user catches and interceptions. Now I feel like its negated by someone who lets CPU play defense. I'm getting better, though.

I think the compete opossite of this years madden. I think that people are getting punished more and more for stupid 'unrealistic' calls that past maddens (on next-gen). I have been getting WAY more wins than past years online.


Unless I am on the other side, and am getting lucky like the guys you are playing lol.

Start at MLB... ball thrown instantly jump on the CB or safety and it's clunk city. You were able to do it with your CB's though so I'm not sure. Maybe I'm hitting the catch button too soon or too late whereas last year it might not have mattered as much.

So I played my buddy today and he ran the streak route to Isaac Bruce four times. Four times, I time the jump, jump the route, and go for the user pick. First three times I didn't get it, so I was like WTF is going on, as Bruce got three TD's for 70 yards.

Fourth time comes, I time it perfectly, same thing happens... Bruce catches it over his shoulder for a TD. I finally decide to look at the replay.

In the replay, the ball literally goes through my DB's hands as I time the jump perfectly. After it goes through my hands Isaac Bruce makes a no look catch over his shoulder to pull it in. I don't know what to do anymore to stop the deep route. I'm doing it properly, but the animation isn't working right.

Yep I'm on the same boat. I just lost to some jerk off whose offense composed of throwing deep to Fitz, throwing deep to Fitz and then finally throwing deep to Fitz. My team easily dropped 5 interceptions if not more and somehow I ended up losing. The ones that kill me are when the ball is thrown directly at them, hits them perfectly in the hands and they drop it.
